The leaves crunched under your ratty sneakers as you and Eddie ambled along the sidewalk next to frat row. Houses were booming with noise, people were stumbling in the yards, but somehow you felt like you were in your own little bubble with Eddie by your side.
“It’s not far, I promise,” Eddie reassured, sticking his hands in the pockets of his jeans. “At least it’s not raining!”
He was met with light laughter from you. The little haze in your brain was making anything he said funny. You looked up at him, admiring the way the light from the street lamps warmed up his face. At the same time, the September breeze sent a shiver up your spine, and Eddie was quick to notice. He took his flannel off, revealing his inky arms, and rested it on your shoulders.
“Can’t have you freezing to death. Is this better?”
You wrapped the warm flannel more tightly around your figure, nodding.
“Thank you, Eddie, you really didn’t have to do that.”
“Nonsense. I’d give you my skin if you needed it.”
He grabbed your hand, intertwining his guitar-calloused fingers with yours. The next few minutes of walking were in comfortable silence. Eventually, you looked up at the entrance arch in front of you. Eddie’s spot was at the nearby nature preserve?
“Didn’t know you were such a big fan of supporting our public lands, Eddie.”
“I guess so? Is that what that’s called? I just think of it as being a nature lover.”
He squeezed your hand and picked up his pace, essentially dragging you into the dark park. After just a few more minutes of walking through the trees and many prayers that Eddie was not going to kill you back here, your feet met the hard, gray rock belonging to the cliff up ahead.
It wasn’t very high off the ground, but falling would at least result in a broken leg. Nevertheless, Eddie led you right to the edge before taking a seat and dangling his feet over the edge. You opted to sit cross-legged for the time being. The two of you sat in silence for a bit, listening to the crickets sing in the chill of dusk.
“I don’t take just anyone here, you know,” Eddie said to you with a grin. His eyes sparkled at yours, but they were still a little hooded and bloodshot.
“Yeah? What makes me one of the lucky few?”
“You’re not a normie, which means you’re cool, and maybe even a freak like me. Being pretty helps, too,” he grabbed your hand again and rubbed his thumb over the back of it.
“It’s beautiful out here. I’m glad I made the cut,” you teased. Eddie wasn’t as shy as you’d expected him to be when you first found him outside the party. Not with you, at least. “What do you get up to out here?”
Eddie looked out over the cliff while he thought up an answer before turning back to meet your gaze. “Smoke, think about life, plan my campaigns, kiss pretty people, normal cliffside activities.”
“So… which one of those are we getting up to tonight?” you asked knowingly.
Eddie scooted closer to you and leaned in, breath ghosting over your blushing cheeks.
“How do you like the sound of that last option? Hm?”
Your stomach fluttered as your gaze bounced between his parted lips and his glossy eyes.
“I think that sounds fun.”
Eddie closed the gap fervently, cupping your face with one of his ringed hands while the other landed on the exposed skin of your thigh. Your hands tangled in his hair to bring your lips impossibly closer together. His tongue worked its way deeper into your mouth, as yours did the same to him. His grip tightened on your thigh and his other hand floated to the back of your head to grab a handful of hair, not pulling, but tugging ever so slightly, causing you to let a soft moan out of your throat. He smirked devilishly into the kiss, breaking away to look at your desperate form.
“You make the prettiest sounds, and all I’ve done is kiss you. Can’t even begin to imagine what you’d sound like if you let me go further.”
You panted and blushed impossibly harder. “Oh, uh, thank you,” you managed to respond.
“Adorable,” Eddie breathed out before capturing your lips in another kiss, this time fueled with something more than the thrill of a late night escapade. He wanted all of you, and you could definitely say the same about him. Your hands drifted down to rest on his chest, feeling how warm he was. They drifted up to his shoulders and landed hooked around the back of his neck. His own hands migrated to rest on the small of your back and between your shoulder blades, his rings causing your skin to tingle as they traced over your shirt. The makeout session seemed to last for an eternity, yet it came to an end when at last Eddie broke away again to ask you, “Wanna come back to my trailer?”
Bradley almost didn’t check his phone, almost. The only reason he’d even gone for it was because the notification sound had been pissing him off. He’d been in a bad mood for, well.
In the space of a year, Qrow has lost his best friend, lost his grip on his alcohol problem, and landed himself with a conviction for common assault on his sparkling-new rap sheet. Most people who know him are kind of surprised it took him twenty-nine years to get one.
Now subjected to the torment of court-appointed group therapy, Qrow is confronted with his polar opposite - Clover Ebi, a veteran of the Great War who lost a leg to an IED but still has an untouched sense of optimism that is enough to turn Qrow's stomach. The worst part is, Qrow can't even bring himself to hate him.
Well, guess I’m not dead yet, and I still have some motivation to write 🤷♀️
Here’s a little piece I did of MC x Charlie from Distant Shores. Charlie is such a babe, how could you not love her? Hot damn.
Storming - Charlie x MC
Waves crashed against the hull of the ship, the wood creaking ominously. Moisture hung heavy in the air as rain pattered against the deck above. Shay shifted uncomfortably in her bunk. Her stomach was churning harsher than the waves outside.
“Breathe, Shay, it’s just a storm,” she muttered to herself, pulling the scratchy blanket tighter around her. Yet something in her gut just could not settle, and she remembered looking through the telescope and seeing a raging storm. It had left her with a feeling of dread, a feeling of utter helplessness. Was this maybe that same storm?
Angry at herself for overthinking things out of her control, Shay threw the blanket aside and stumbled out of her bunk. The violent rocking of the ship threw her tired legs into a crate and she cussed under her breath. She needed a drink, or maybe some fresh air, anything to try and help her nerves. Moving unsteadily in the dark, she maneuvered around the crew, all sleeping soundly in their bunks. Some of the crew was above deck, sailing through the storm, their bunks eerily empty in the dark. Passing through a doorway, Shay moved down a hall and entered the galley. There had to be some rum or orange slices somewhere amongst the food supplies.
“Looking for something, love?”
Shay startled at the soft, honeyed voice, her eyes searching the dark. There, at the far end of the table, sat Charlie, her chin resting in the palm of her hand, her damp hair sticking to her forehead. “Charlie! What are you doing down here in the dark?”
“Didn’t want to go through the trouble of lighting a lamp or finding a candle. What are you doing up?”
“The storm woke me. It’s quite… intense.”
“Ah, this be ye first storm. I should’ve paid attention to that. Come, sit next to me.”
Shay gave her a small smile and moved across the room, straddling the bench seat so she was facing Charlie. “I just feel a little sea sick.”
Charlie furrowed her brows, reaching out a hand to rest against Shay’s forehead. “You feel a little clammy. Hold on, I’ve got just the thing.”
She rose from the bench, going around the table to the far cabinet. She sifted through jars and boxes, until she pulled out a bundle of leaves. Shay gave her a quizzical look as she came and sat down next to her.
“Here, chew this. It’s a mint leaf, it will help ease your stomach.”
“Just chew the whole leaf?!”
“Yeah, what else would you do?”
Shay shrugged and placed the leaf in her mouth, her features twisting into displeasure upon biting into it.
“I guess mint is different in the future?” Charlie chuckled, offering Shay her mug. Shay gave her a grateful look and took a sip from the mug.
“Yeah, rum and mint do not mix well,” she said with a laugh, wiping her mouth on the back of her hand. “Thank you, Charlie.”
“Of course, love.”
“Were you working above deck?”
“Aye. Shooed Edward off t’bed and kept an eye on the lads until the worst of the storm passed. We should have a good path through now.”
“Well I’m glad the worst has passed,” Shay replied, looking off to the side.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Charlie softly grabbed Shay’s chin, turning her head so their eyes could meet. “Something is bothering you.”
“I’ve only been here a few weeks and you already know me so well.” Shay stared into the green eyes across from her and almost got lost in their depths, for the umpteenth time today. “Remember how I said the compass brought me from the future?”
Charlie nodded, her full attention on Shay.
“Well, I believe the telescope is enchanted in some way too. When I looked through it the other day, when we saw the admiral’s ship, I saw a raging storm. It left a bad feeling in my gut, and this storm has got me wary of it.”
“That’s understandable. Seeing such things would make me unsettled too. You think it is something yet ta come?”
“Yes, but thankfully, I don’t think this current storm is the one I saw. It’s still hard not to feel skeptical though.”
The two women sat in silence for several moments, Shay’s hand finding Charlie’s in the dark and wrapping her fingers around her slender wrist, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“We should get some sleep, you look tired,” Charlie said softly, turning her hand and lacing her fingers through Shay’s.
“You look cold and tired,” Shay said with a smile, moving her free hand to brush the damp hair off Charlie’s face. Charlie smirked and closed the distance between them, her lips warm and inviting.
They broke apart after a moment. Charlie rose from the bench, not letting go of Shay’s hand. “Come on, then.”
Shay stood and followed her out of the galley, but instead of heading straight down the hall and back to the bunk room, Charlie made a left. “Are we not going back to the bunks?”
“Nope.”
They turned another corner just as a wave rocked the ship. Both pirates were thrown off balance, slamming into the wall, Charlie’s arms snaking around Shay’s waist, holding her firmly so she wouldn’t tumble to the ground as the ship rocked to and fro.
“I’ve got ya, love. Yer still earnin’ yer sea legs.” Charlie laughed in her ear and Shay blushed. They inched their way down the hall as another series of violent waves hit the ship.
“Where are we going?”
“To bed,” Charlie said slyly, leading her along. They came to a door and Charlie eased it open, ushering Shay into a small, dimly lit room. A bed sat under a large window, a chest sitting against one wall next to a vanity, and a bookshelf on the opposite wall adorned with books, jars of varying flowers, and little knick-knacks. Charlie let go of her hand and sat on the chest, removing her boots.
“Charlie…” Shay stood awkwardly in the middle of the room, not sure what to do.
“Well come on, shoes off, into bed. You’ll sleep better here, this bed is much more comfortable than the bunks, and the rocking isn’t so bad.”
Shay sat at the edge of the bed and started removing her boots. Charlie stood and started undressing, and Shay had to remember how to breathe. She stood in her smallclothes, her fit and toned body causing Shay’s stomach to summersault for reasons other than the raging of the sea. Opening the chest, she pulled out a loose white night shirt and threw it on before handing a similar one to Shay.
“Beats sleeping in our regular clothes,” Charlie said with a wink, climbing into bed. Shay quickly removed her own clothes, feeling Charlie’s gaze on her as she slipped the night shirt over her head.
Turning, she climbed into bed beside Charlie. The two faced each other, and this time, Shay did let herself get lost in the emerald depths of Charlie’s eyes. “Thank you, Charlie.”
“Of course, love, anything for you.”
Shay closed the distance between them, finding the comfort of her lips once more. Their kisses were slow and lazy as the exhaustion from the day settled over the both of them. Breaking apart, Charlie rested her forehead against Shay’s.
“Whether you’re from the future or not, I’m glad you’re here with us, with me.”
“I don’t think there’s anywhere I’d rather be.” Shay said it with the most conviction she had ever uttered. In that moment, she did not care if she ever got back to the future, to home, because home was starting to take the form of a kind, spirited quartermaster who made her heart go absolutely haywire every time she looked her way.
Letting their tiredness overcome, Shay dropped her head into the crook of Charlie’s neck and snuggled close into her arms. Charlie breathed in the lilac scent of Shay’s dark brown hair; her eyes fluttering closed as she pulled up the furs on her bed, covering the both of them, then throwing her arm over the other woman’s waist and pulling her impossibly closer.
“Goodnight, Shay.”
Goodnight, Charlie.”
Shay felt safe in Charlie’s arms, her worries about the storm eased as the now gentle rocking of the ship and the soft rise and fall of Charlie’s heart lulled her into a deep and sweet sleep.

Inspired by @banishedboymunson <3 I have a feeling there will be more of these to come. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if I should make a part 2... because I'm already considering it.
“Why am I here?” you kept asking yourself as you weaved through the endless sea of sweaty bodies. The music was loud; almost too loud to keep asking yourself how you ended up in this frat house. Your new dorm neighbors left you high and dry to go home with some guys, but you didn’t get all dolled up to just up and leave because you got lonely. Not yet, at least.
You needed fresh air. Now. The back door glimmered like the light at the end of the tunnel. After pushing past a few more people idling in the kitchen, you made it to freedom. The bass was still thumping through the walls, but the night air was also full of crickets and cicadas soaking in the last fragments of the August heat.
“It’s nice out here, isn’t it?”
You jumped and turned around to see a lanky boy with long, wavy hair sitting in a deck chair. He wore a dopey grin and a t-shirt that read Hellfire Club. A freshly-lit joint dangled from his fingers. Everything about him screamed “trouble,” but you weren’t quick to listen to your instinct.
“Uh, yeah, it was getting a bit loud in there,” you replied after composing yourself post-startle.
“It always does, but it’s hard to beat the free drinks,” the boy replied. He held the joint out to you. “You wanna hit?”
You had never tried weed before. It scared you, to be frank, but college was about trying things, right? You hesitated for only a moment before awkwardly pinching the end of it and taking it out of his hand. You fumbled a bit, trying to figure out what came next.
“Aw, is it your first time, pretty girl? You don’t have to if you don’t want to. I was just being polite.”
Your face turned hot. Really hot. You weren’t convinced it was just due to the few drinks circulating your bloodstream.
“No, it’s okay! I want to try, I just… you’re gonna have to help me.”
The boy grinned and patted the chair next to him. You took his offer, sitting down next to him, and he took the joint back from you. After readjusting his grip on it, he starts moving it to your lips.
“Here, I’ll hold it for you, okay? Just take a drag, suck in a bit. Then you’re gonna hold it for a second or so and just breathe it out. It’s easy, I promise.”
The joint was at your lips when you followed his instructions. The smoke filled your lungs and it started to burn. Oh my god, you needed to cough so bad, but you tried to hold it in as to not look like a total loser in front of this boy who was probably a loser, but was somehow still so cool. And nice. And handsome.
Alas, the coughing clawed its way out of your throat. You doubled over in the flimsy chair as the burning refused to subside. The boy’s hand landed on your back as he started to rub soothing circles over your sorry excuse for a top.
“Are you okay, cutie?” he couldn’t help but laugh, despite the concern laced in his chuckles. Something about your innocence was just so adorable.
“Yes,” more coughing ensued, “just wasn’t expecting that.” You took a sip of water from the water bottle he offered you, and finally felt some relief.
He took the joint back from you and took a long drag of his own.
“It gets easier, the more you smoke. I coughed a lot my first time, too,” he reassured you, turning away from you to blow out the smoke. He turned back and gave you a soft smile, taking a moment to fully admire your face.
“I’m Eddie, by the way. I don’t normally end up at places like this, but some of my DnD buddies wanted to finally try and get laid tonight. It must have worked, because they’re long gone... I could have gone home, but I was enjoying sitting out here alone, ya know? And then you came along and made it all better.”
You laughed at his ridiculous story. DnD? Like Dungeons and Dragons? This guy really was a total nerd.
“I’d tell you my name, but I like the sound of pretty girl,” you boldly replied. “My friends fucked off, too. Well, I’m not sure if we’re friends yet. I’m still working on that. You seem cool, though, Eddie.”
“Ah, you must be a freshman,” Eddie said thoughtfully, “As a sophomore, I’m not sure that I can say I have it figured out entirely either. You think I’m cool, though? Most people just call me a freak, which I don’t mind, of course, but, uh,” he nervously trailed off, “Do you wanna get out of here? If that isn’t too weird, or anything. Just feels like we’re both a bit out of our element. I can assure you that my intentions are pure, though! I just think you’re cool, too… and maybe I want to get to know you better.” He finishes with another dopey grin.
Your blush was not definitely not from the alcohol. It spread all the way to your ears, and you were certain Eddie could see. If he did, he didn’t seem to mind. You so desperately wanted to figure out your new enigma named Eddie, someone who seemed like he’d understand you and not think you were weird for not liking frat parties.
“Oh, yeah! Sounds fun!” you replied, failing to act nonchalantly about Eddie’s invitation, “what did you have in mind?”
“I know a place,” Eddie stated with a smirk, “don’t worry, I’m not gonna kill you. It is in the middle of the woods, though. It’s just somewhere I like to go to kind of get away from all of this craziness.” He gestures to the nearly rattling frat house and the general direction of main campus.
You took a second to mull over what he just said. You weren’t high yet, but the alcohol was not helping your decision making. You’ve known this man for no more than twenty minutes. Everything about this felt like a bad idea, except for the fact that Eddie already felt so safe. He was kind, patient, even in the tiniest mannerisms you noticed from him. You decided to fuck it. College was about trying things, right?
Hi I'm writing again! Will this last? Who knows! Inspired by my feral need to be in a hot tub with my lover. Please enjoy and any and all feedback is welcome :)

Contains: fem!reader x Bucky Barnes, no explicit smut (fade to black), but mentions of sex
Wc: ~500
The water is warm, a sharp contrast to the crisp autumn air weaving through the colorful trees. You test the temperature with your toes, and when satisfied, take the metaphorical plunge to join your lover. A man who had walked many paths that somehow lead to this moment in the hot tub, Bucky’s waiting on the other side of the tiny tub with arms outstretched, inviting you to sit in his lap.
You half float, half step over into his embrace, and he hooks his metal arm under your crooked legs as his right arm supports your back so you can look up at the stars littering the forest sky. The two of you had the idea to get away for a weekend in October, do some hiking, and just unwind and unplug together. Work was stressful, Bucky needed a break from his teammates, and you wanted to dedicate time to intimacy and connection.
Thankfully, work didn’t follow you two to the middle of the woods, unless work was a bunch of crickets chirping around the cabin. Other sounds filling the open air included the soft bubbling of the tub jets, the crackling remains of the after-dinner s’more fire, and Bucky’s breathing.
His breathing was slowing and deepening, but quiet enough that it blended with the evening ambiance. He moves you to straddle his lap, exposing your shoulders to the chilly night air.
Toying with your swim top, he asks, “why’d you even bother wearing this? It’s not like anyone’s around to see you but me.”
“Well, Buck, what if there was a serial killer who found us? You want me to give ‘em a free show?”
His lips tighten briefly before returning to his teasing grin. “Fair point, but I haven’t seen anything or heard any excessive leaf crunching. Maybe,” he brings one of the bikini straps off your shoulder, “maybe I could get a show?”
You waste no time in shimmying out of your top and pressing your chest to his.
“You’re lucky I love you, sarge.”
Bucky tilts your chin up to melt his lips against yours in a heated kiss. His hands explore your exposed torso; goosebumps were forming from both his touch and the cold. Your hands feel how soft and supple his skin feels in the warm water, everything from the skin stretched across his pecs to the little bit of softness sitting on his hips and tummy. Your bodies melted together in a way that made you throb.
Bucky moves you to sit in the water again, and the water instantly feels warmer after being out of it for a bit. He stands up and reaches for his towel.
“Where are you going? We were just getting started,” you tease.
“I figured you’d prefer I rail you in bed, and not in the hot tub. That shit’s nasty.”
He hands you a towel as you stand up, too, and you laugh. Once it’s wrapped around you, Bucky scoops you up and carries you inside. You were in for a long night.
