I love how Marvel usually goes with one or two romantic tropes/scenes in their movies but with Sam and Bucky they were like: “let’s use all of them”

1. The love at first fight

2. The Character A looking at sunset while character B comes from behind scene

3. The Hand Holding scene

4. The Character A turning around to look at character B while walking away 

5. The Character A having doubts and character B finding the words of encouragement Character A needed to finally accept his calling as a Superhero and go save the world

*Anthony Mackie revealed that it was his talk with Bucky that finally led Sam to finally accept the Captain America mantle. His words, not mine.

6. The Character A freezing during a fight when they see Character B.

*Bucky almost got killed because he was too busy looking at Sam in his new suit.

7. The Character A and Character B awkwardly sitting in front of Character C and Character C trying to understand their relationship because C thinks A and B are dating.

not me crying in the theater when they showed the shang chi dance dance revolution flashback WHAT A FUCKING WHIPLASH. i had 0 expectations going into this movie, figuring that it’s probably another formulaic marvel blockbuster, and in some sense i was right there were portions that were definitely formulaic. but the feelings, the emotions, the arcs that the movie was able to convey despite everything, made it one of the most intimate blockbusters i’ve ever seen. like yes it’s about saving the world (as per marvel formula) but the core of it is also about salvaging what’s left of your family after everyone chose the differently terrible ways of dealing with grief and coming to terms with those consequences
