I’m genuinely confused about some of the reactions I’m seeing to the clip from today

Why are you guys so surprised that the villain is being…you know..…a villain??

The scene obviously takes place immediately after the rebellion, so probably in the beginning of the first episode. My mans Inho hasn’t even had a chance to apply his Dapper Dan pomade yet he still has the Youngil ’do lol

Point is, if he’s going to do a heel-face turn it’s not going to be in the first episode of the season bro

And we’ve seen my dude react completely impassively to horrible things throughout the entire series, he has an extreme poker face and it’s very hard to tell what he’s thinking or feeling

That’s what’s cool about a character like him, he’s pretty enigmatic so it’s fun to try and figure out how he ticks. He could be regretting everything and trying to numb himself with alcohol like he always does, he could be completely cold & detached or he could be trying to whiskey dick his boner down because he has guests coming (I’m in the third camp personally)

But yeah people acting like the inhun ship is dead or something are being so weird, did you guys miss the point of shipping? It’s fun imaginary pretend times. It’s not about canon. It has never been about canon. Who cares about canon. Man FUCK canon.

But even so, it’s a tiny clip from a whole ass season of television and probably takes place right in the fucking beginning. SO MUCH has yet to happen. None of us have any idea what’s in store so let’s just hang tight and go on the ride together OK? Fandom is supposed to be fun. Chill.

I know this isn’t 100% canon now, but looking back onto the first episode of the Black Butler anime, it’s actually kinda like a horror story on its own.

Think about it: This rich Italian guy comes along to attend a normal visit to the Phantomhive, secretly wanting to scam a 12-13 year old child into giving him more money, only for the ‘silly children’s board game’ they were playing earlier started to become real.

A ghostly figure stalks him (obviously it’s Bassy), he breaks his leg, and of course, is left petrified once he realises he climbed into the oven of the kitchen; with Sebastian taunting him unsubtly.

I personally think that despite being non-canon, it does a better job at displaying immediately the dark nature of both Ciel and Sebastian and how they deal with those who threaten them.

Note: I was kinda shocked when I thought the man was actually made into some dish from the oven and didn’t know what to think to see him alive. 😅
