Extra bonus chapter of Dark Blue my shifter!Cas fic is up.
Everything we’ve been building up to is coming to fruition. I am positively feral, waiting to see everyone’s reactions to the next several chapters.
Also, I dropped this in my author note, but I am working on a sequel.
When I originally started writing this, I thought it would be a fun, spy vs spy vibe of a fic. It ended up ballooning far beyond my expectations.
I’m pretty sure I was possessed the entire time I was writing this thing. But I also fell in love with these versions of the characters.
My original plan for the fic didn’t feel right as I started to write.
I have learned that while an outline is helpful, I also just have to follow the characters around and let them decide what they are going to do.
Sometimes that means I throw out the outline and just follow them with a metaphorical video camera.
Because I did that instead of my original plan, I still have an idea for how I want to continue the story. The current story will feel complete, but there are some threads that are not nicely tied up.
If I get hit by a bus, I do feel like the current story stands alone just fine, even if some things will be left up to the readers imagination.
But if you have seen me talk about this or it has showed up in your inbox or in your search results now is a good time to start. We are in the final arc.
