Working on a project code named “Shardworld” (same project that Sachar, the elf with the hyena, is from) this is the reference moodboard for a character me and my collaborator and I call ❄️🤠, or “snow cowboy” created from the idea of snowflakes on cowboy boots.

Referencing both the cowboys of the America’s and the reindeer herders of the Sami, I am trying my best to create a character that is tastefully referencing cultures that are not my own, as well situating that character, and their created culture in a fantasy setting

Sachar Masi, a “shardling” from a world building project I’m working on with a friend, alongside their giant hyena companion.

I listened to “the king” by Sarah kinsley while finishing this. Not related to the character at all, but the part of the song that goes “I want to be the king” I had a drawing breakthrough

Working on a character for a collab story project (code named shardworld) Sachar Masi is what is known as a “shardling” in shardworld. They are the cartographer for the rampaged regiment they are a part of… or you could say where… The giant hyena is not quite a normal animal

I finally found brushes and a colouring technique in procreate that makes me happy so I’m in a good mood!
