Key Concepts in advertisements
The Coca-Cola advertisements are excellent examples of key concepts beings displayed for an audience. The purpose of the ad is to interest the audience in a drink of Coke. The text is displayed on a billboard, television, or even social media. The context is simple, buy a Coke. However, it also markets sharing a coke, which leads to more money spent with the company. Coca-Cola has been using this specific strategy for awhile now, creating different names displayed on their product in order to create incentive to purchase more of their drink. The company has also created their own hashtag to allow buyers to share their own memories, possibly being mentioned on their social media handles. This creates a fun game for the audience, with a positive user experience and makes individuals feel a part of the discourse community.
