What happens when your life partner’s youngest son of 16 years old asked you to take him for climbing? You make a list in your head of all the routes where you’d like to bring him. You think of some little huts you’d like him to spend the night. You make sweet little plans. Despite a tricky weather that forces us to slightly change our plans @mat__roche and I shared some really good times together. For Mat it was a total new environment and I was amazed how quick this kid adapted himself. After a nice warm up on the multi pitch route « Poème à Lou » at Brévent, we dove into the big bath with a really nice Gervasutti route on the Pointe Adolphe Rey. Awesome climbing, good rock and just the right exposure. I really enjoyed the time we spent together, It’s been great to watch this young man climbing well and enjoying himself in the alpine terrain. I hope I did a good job giving proper knowledge, tips and advices but mostly with sharing the love for the mountains. Thank you Mat for trusting me, for holding the rope and for the laughters. Can’t wait to share some more times in the Mountains with you.
