The night was calm, serene. It was a warm summer evening, with a gentle buzz luring heroes and civilians alike into their beds, the song of cicadas offering a nice, albeit slightly annoying, ambience. The heroes were busying themselves with nightly preparations, some soaking up the last minutes they had in the training tower, others wandering the halls of the castle with their friends, and some refining their skills in the library.
You, lovely summoner, were enjoying an evening in bed, sleeping peacefully. It was a long evening consisting of difficult adventures, constant arguing due to the fact you tried to pair Berkut with, “commoners,” today. Then you studied strategy with Byleth and Robin, only to be interrupted by a frantic Soleil trying to escape from the wrath of fell Robin.
Great day.
It was all calm in the castle, just the usual mumbling and distant chatter. Until a sharp scream ripped through the air from your room, Alfonse jumping up as Anna and Sharena hurriedly followed.
“Y/n? Was that them?” Anna asked, as Alfonse made quick strides through the halls.
“That’s definitely them, come, they might be in danger!”
“Alfonse, slow down!” Anna prompted, as Sharena sped up faster after Alfonse’s affirmation. Worries gnawed at their minds about what exactly could’ve happened to you, what if they entered your room to find a tragedy?
None of them could shake the idea of you lying limp on the floor.
Alfonse practically burst down the door, to find you sobbing on the floor, the only thing in disarray being you and your bed sheets, thrown all over the place. Your hair was a mess, and your eyes were red and puffy from crying. You were frazzled, evidently, your entire body shaking violently as Sharena ran over and kneeled to your height.
“Y/n, we’re here, we’re right here,” she murmured, grabbing a cloth to wipe your face with as Anna and Alfonse looked on with worry-stricken faces.
“You were all dead! Nothing, there was nothing!” You cried, burying your face in your knees as Sharena rubbed comforting circles into your back, Anna slowly walking over to sit next to you.
“We’re right here Y/n, what are you talking about?” She asked, as you shook your head wildly and continued to sob.
“None of this was real...Alfonse was-Sharena wasn’t...A-Anna, you-“ you couldn’t finish your sentence, breath hitching in your throat as you looked up to Alfonse. “Am I still dreaming?” Sharena shook her head, stroking your hair gently.
“Shhh, no y/n. You’re home, with us!” She grinned ardently, as you stood up suddenly and approached Alfonse, wrapping your arms around him tightly.
“Summoner-“
“They said you were gone, I-I, they said, oh god, Alfonse, you were gone,” you cried into his shoulder, as he slowly returned the embrace, Anna and Sharena joining in to hug you tightly. “I lost all of you, I was, everything I did, it was nothing-“
“We’re right here, y/n. We’re right here.” There was a moment of silence, the room still as you tried to recover from the trauma you faced in the land of dreams. The thought of even losing one of them was too much, and losing Alfonse? Your heart couldn’t even bear to think of it much longer, your head beginning to hurt, the room spinning.
“I don’t want to lose you,” you whispered, Sharena slowly taking you from Alfonse to bring him to bed.
“You’re not gonna lose any of us, y/n. You need to rest, come along, we’ll stay with you until you fall asleep.” You wiped your bleary eyes, laughing exasperatedly.
“I’m sorry for making such a ruckus tonight.”
“You have nothing to apologize for,” Alfonse reassured. “If...If I dreamed of losing any of you, I could never forgive the giver of dreams.” He chuckled and took a seat at the foot of your bed, Anna ordering a guard to bring you a cup of tea to ease your mind, as you stared at Alfonse with soft eyes.
The mortal you care so much for...Defeated death...Alfaoör decided...Prince Alfonse could no longer live.
What if I’m not Princess Sharena? My-My memories!
The world of steel...Why does it seem so familiar?
“Do you all promise this is real? I’m not...I’m not still dreaming?” Anna set down a cup of tea by your bed, smiling and patting your head.
anon asked: “Time for some Angst. A scenario where Sharena a sees her s/o from another world after seeing them die in her world.”
a/n: y’all this week is finally OVER i am SO TIREDT BUT HERE HAVE THIS ANGST ;3 sorry miss sharena i had to do it to ‘em --mod touko
everyone noticed it.
ever since you died an untimely death, sharena was never the same. where she once was a warm beacon for everyone in the army, she now seemed hollow. she tried to put on a chipper facade, but it was painfully obvious: her smile didn’t quite reach her eyes, her laughter was polite and subdued. she doesn’t take up space like she used to, instead, she’s small and featureless.
alfonse and anna (as well as the rest of the heroes) feel the weight of your absence. the prince and commander try and stay strong for sharena, but seeing the dullness behind her eyes crushes them. there’s nothing they can do but let her cry with them, and try to help each other get over it. but it wasn’t easy -- the war still moved on while they were trying to lay low and grieve. lif and thrasir edged closer to askr at every moment, and now that their summoner was gone, their efforts were doubled.
she just wanted it all to slow down, like how it first was when you came. where the biggest trouble you had was figuring out how to fit in to their world which was so medieval and alien to you. when you walked into the dining hall in only a towel asking how to turn on the hot water.
those were the good old days.
the exact place where she saw you first is somewhere she visits often. it’s only been a month since your death, but she finds herself there almost every day. some part of her feels called there, like maybe during one visit she’ll find you nervously rambling as you speak to commander anna, just like when she first met you.
she sits in the long grass, picking it out from the roots until there’s dirt under her nails and her chest aches from sobbing.
“princess sharena!” a young boy’s voice breaks her out of her thoughts. she turns to see roy sprinting towards her, a hopeful look on his face. instinctively, she rubs at her puffy eyes and smiles politely. “you won’t believe what happened... i-i can’t believe it either!” he’s heaving, out of breath from sprinting all the way from the castle. sharena stands up, heart racing as all the possibilities rush through her head. the optimist in her wants it to be you, but she couldn’t be sure...
“what is it?” anxiety washes over her and she can feel her chest tightening. “what happened?”
“you’ll have to see them yourself! haha!” and with the mention that it’s a person sharena is running at a pace faster than ever before. it has to be you, it has to be!
she sees you, that oversized cloak that never seemed to fit well hanging loosely off your frame. you hear her footsteps and turn around, smiling wide upon seeing the princess. she throws herself at you, now sobbing tears of happiness. this wasn’t real, someone pinch her. you hug her back, tightly, and she has to resist the urge to kiss you everywhere that’s visible -- she doesn’t know if this is her [name] or the [name] from another dimension.
but there was something so familiar that she knew it had to be her summoner.
“i missed you so much!” sharena squeaks out, pulling back, but her shaky arms still desperately grip your sleeves.
“oh please, i wasn’t gone for too long, was i?” you chuckle, warm eyes meeting her bright ones. your vision strays from hers, and meets the red-haired commander behind herself, and you pull out of her grip and latch onto her. anna appears startled, letting out a gasp but hugging you back, her usual happy laughter returning.
“i didn’t think you’d be this happy to see me!” she giggles, and you press a kiss to her cheek.
“my love, how could i not be?” you say warmly, and sharena’s heart breaks. anna tries to break away from your grip as she asks what you’re talking about, but sharena knows. she meets your gaze for a second and smiles:
a hollow, fake smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes.

Funerals were never fun.
Sharena never had fun at anyone’s funeral — to lose someone so close to you was depressing, especially during times of war. Yet, as they closed the casket on Ephraim, she felt like she was going to explode from excitedness.
It was always ‘Ephraim this, Ephraim that’ after you had been so excited to summon the Lord that restored his land. It was all you could ever talk about, and Sharena didn’t like it one bit. It was wrong, she knew it was so horribly wrong, but she couldn’t stop the frown that fell on her face every time she saw you two together.
There was no more Sharena and [Name], now it was just Ephraim and [Name]. Sure, the feelings — the jealousy — in her heart and the thoughts in her head made her sick to her stomach, but the thought of seeing you with Ephraim by your side another day made her feel worse.
Now that he was out of the picture, surely you’d show her your love again, right? She waited patiently, eagerly, for you to show her your bright smiles once again. Her heart beated a mile a minute at the thought of hearing your sweet laughter. She couldn’t wait to be blessed by the light you brought wherever you went.
The longer she waited, the more she noticed the ever present frown on your face, always there like you had been born with it. But of course you weren’t! She’s seen your beautiful smiles before, on the nights the two of you would spend under the stars. Now, your face was simply desolate, eyes vacant as you stumbled across the halls of the castle.
Oh, poor Sharena’s heart hurt to see you in such a manner. She only wanted to see you happy by her side, surely such a man like that couldn’t make you happier than she, right?
And so, she racked her ideas for a way to make your smile appear once again. Alfonse, expectedly, gave her an answer that she really couldn’t decipher.
“Time,” Alfonse said, “[Name] needs time. Her and Ephraim were close, and I’m sure she’s devastated to see him go in such… a gruesome manner.”
Time? She wanted to laugh. No, you didn’t need time, you needed her by your side. The two of you could laugh together, smile together, crack jokes together — what would you do with time? With her, you could forget all about that filthy Lord who replaced her.
Well, looks like she had to go ask someone else.
When you heard a soft knock at your door, you wanted to grumble a soft ‘not now’. To be honest, you hadn’t been up for any interaction ever since Ephraim’s funeral. The empty space by your side made your heart heavy, just like the spear they found pierced through his heart. But it was a familiar rhythm consisting of three consecutive knock, and only one person you knew knocked like that: Sharena.
You racked a hand through your hair, inwardly grinning at the greasy feeling of your once tidy hair. You really let yourself go these past few days, the thought made you want to let out a sad, pitiful chuckle.
Pulling your hand from your hair, you opened the door. To no surprise, Sharena was standing there with a smile on her face. “Hey, Sharena,” You greeted, finding yourself unable to mirror her happiness, “what’s up.”
You were quick to notice the arm held behind her back: a gift, maybe? You rose an eyebrow at the action, but she just used her free hand to give you a light wave. “Well,” She giggled, “aren’t you going to let me in?”
You stepped to the side almost immediately, “Of course!” You gestured into your room, “sorry, it’s a mess right now.” She stepped into your room, making sure to turn around so you wouldn’t see the surprise in her hands. “That’s okay! I can help you clean, if you’d like,” She offered, causing you to shake your head. “I’ll be fine, don’t worry about me,” You rejected, her smile twitching going unseen by you.
She finally sat down in the bed, patting softly besides her. “Don’t be shy! Come sit with me, [Name].” You say down besides her, to her pleasure, “Are you going to tell me what’s in your hands or are you just going to sit there,” You joked lightheartedly, trying to ease the tension in the room. You didn’t want to acknowledge the elephant in the room, the one that said you clearly weren’t doing good after Ephraim’s death.
Sharena didn’t seem to want to acknowledge it either, as she pulled out a flower crown from behind her back. “I made this for you… I know they’re you’re favorite!” She cheered, watching intensely as you carefully plucked the delicate crown of anemones from her hands.
“I… don’t know what to say.” A small smile graces the friend of your lips, “Thank you, Sharena. I can’t believe you remembered I loved anemones.” You gently placed the crown atop your head, fixing your hair as you did. “How do I look?” You asked sheepishly.
“You look as beautiful as always!” She answered gleefully. You snorted, “your always so nice to me, Sharena. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
You looked absolutely amazing, is what she wanted to say. Words couldn’t describe your beauty. To her, you always looked like a goddess who shined a bright light wherever you went. You were the light of life, and she’d do whatever she could to keep it that way.
When she saw that small smile, the small flicker of light, her heart nearly jumped right out of her chest. Alfonse was wrong! You didn’t need time, you just needed her.
“You know, the meanings of anemones is actually kind of funny,” You spoke, causing her to turn her attention to her immediately. “How so?” Sharena questioner, curious at your statement. You took the crown off your head, gently brushing your fingers against the soft petals of the anemones as you stared at them wistfully.
“Anemones can mean fading hope and a feeling of being forsaken,” You explained, and Sharena’s chest constricted just a little. Those words had hit way too close to home. “But, they can also represent anticipation,” You continued, eyes never leaving the crown of Anemones.
“How contradictory!” She agreed, “that is certainly a curious flower.” You nodded, “I guess that means I should anticipate better times,” You spoke solemnly. Ephraim would’ve wanted that.
“Don’t worry, [Name].” Sharena was quick to lean close, almost too close for comfort. You would’ve questioned it, but she was simply too nice to do such a thing intentionally. “I would never let your hope fade! Or forsake you!” She promised, lacing one of your hand through your own. At a loss for words, you could only nod once more.
“I know you will, Sharena, I trust you.”
Sharena grinned, “I won’t ever let your light fade, [Name].”
420 Raffle prize was @wymtme ! You won 2nd place, so here’s 1031 words for your request-- Sharena x reader, where she takes a hit meant for reader!
It was hardly a week ago, but you were still wracked with guilt. You had been stupid out fighting again, taking too little men with you. So of course, the enemy was quick to gain an advantage over you. You probably would have taken a bad hit had Sharena not pushed you out of the way and taken it herself. It was nothing lethal, and the rest of your company was quick to deal with the company, but after seeing her hurt you were quick to retreat with the rest of your group. And by now, she was nearly ready to get back onto the battlefield, but here you were still worrying over her.
“Listen, I know we’ve talked about this before but now that you're stuck in this bed, you have to hear me out all the way.” You frowned down at Sharena as she gave you a pouting look.
“Aww come on _____, I was only trying to protect you! My stitches are nearly ready to come out anyways!” She lifted her shirt to show you her side to see that, yes, in fact, she was nearly battlefield ready!
“S-sharena… that’s not the point,” You looked away from her exposed stomach, tugging at your collar a bit. “I mean to say, what you did back there wasn’t necessary. I should have taken that hit, for the fault in my own tactics...” You sighed, shaking your head. “You should never have to suffer for my stupidity.”
“Hey...” Her voice was soft and she was pouting again. “Come closer” She gestured to lean in closer to her, as she still couldn’t move much due to the stitches. You humored her, and leaned down and in. She reached up, and held your face in her hands. “You shouldn’t be blaming yourself as much as you are, okay? Your so important to us, to me, I was happy to take that hit if it meant you would be okay.” She smiled then, and fearlessly kissed your nose.
“Sharena...” You sputtered, unable to find the words to say. “You’re important to me too, you know? How do you think I felt seeing you jump in front of a hit meant for me?” Your voice was suddenly filled with emotion, tears threatening to spill from your eyes. “Sharena, I know you’re okay now and you will be okay, but seeing you jump in front of me that moment tore my heart in two. I didn’t know then if you were dead or alive if you would come out okay I.. I just...”
“Hey, hey...” Her hands, that still held your face, wiped you growing tears, and she gave you that wide smile you had come to adore so much. “So… maybe we both made mistakes. But we’re here now! We’re okay, and we’re having this talk.” Gosh, her smile always had such effects on you. You found yourself calming, your own smile coming to grace your face as well. “Honestly? I haven’t learned any better, though. Given the chance, I’d protect you 100 times over. You’re that precious to me _____.”
“That just means I have to apply myself more as a leader, learn more tactics and grow stronger my own way, so you never have to do that again. I don’t ever want to see you hurt like that, I can’t imagine what I’d be doing if it were something more serious.” You shook your head, yet you were still smiling.
“Look at us...” Sharena laughed a little but shook her head. “I had always hoped we would be the best of friends but, I hold you so much closer than that now. Your safety comes before all else not because the Order needs you, or we need you to win some war...” She closed her eyes, and shook her head a little. “I want your safety, your happiness because I love you more than anything in this world. That’s why I did it. Because just like you… the thought that you could get seriously hurt, maybe even die because you can’t defend yourself, scared me so much I.. just acted.”
“We’re both just, a couple of fools in love then huh.” You didn’t hesitate to move in closer and pull her into a hug. “We’ll have to work on that, then. We can’t just keep doing things like that in order to protect each other like that.” You laughed, and she joined you.
“Come on!” She patted her bed, and you rolled your eyes before joining her in sitting there. “I’ll just have to keep you close then, hm? Help you with all that studying, too! We’ll be an unstoppable duo… With our prowess, and our love, we’ll be unstoppable!” Sharena cheered, and you went on laughing softly.
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves…” You clasped your hand within hers, and sighed contentedly. “One day, our lives won’t be fight after fight, we’ll be able to slow down, and enjoy this love of ours… Because I, I do love you, so much.” You closed your eyes.
“I love you too, more then I know how to describe. But I intend to show you, really! Even if it's not by protecting you, I’ll do it by… by…” Sharena seemed to be thinking of just all the things she could do to show you how much she adored you. You opened your eyes and smiled, turning to face her.
“You know, I think I can think of something...” You brought your free hand up to cup her cheek, and her bright eyes landed on yours. “May I?” You asked sweetly, smiling.
“O-oh! Be my guest!” Her voice was just as excited as always, but softer now, as if she were afraid to ruin the moment. But, her energy was part of the reason you loved her so much to begin with. But who were you to stall yourself of your desires? Without any more hesitation, you moved in to press your lips to hers, softer than you ever could have dreamed.
All of this, because she jumped in front of an attack without a moments hesitation; imagine if she were to actually try something romantic.
anon asked: “Hi! I’ve been replaying FE: Awakening and playing FE: Heroes a lot lately, so I got inspired to ask this for Alfonse and Sharena. They’re just hanging out when out of nowhere this kid appears and claims to be Alfonse’s/Sharena’s future child. And then the summoner (not in a relationship yet) walks into the room and the child says “oh look, it’s mother/father!”. How would they react?”
a/n: second half to this ask as promised! ngl sharena needs more love!!
sharena flops down on her bed, sighing. today’s battle against laegjarn and her allies had been somewhat of a phyrric victory. sure, you ended up catching laegjarn, but the allies that fought beside sharena had been gravely injured. had it not been for elise, she doesn’t want to think of what would have happened to her friends.
she holds her hand above her head, examining the newly formed calluses from gripping her lance so tight. letting out a groan, she makes a mental note to ask fjorm how she keeps her hands so soft.
a quiet knock snaps her out of her thoughts, and she sits up, wondering who it would be. her first thought is that she hopes it’s you, but she quickly pushes that thought aside, going to open the door. swinging the door open, she spies a teenage girl, wearing a similar cloak as you do, with curly blonde hair with strawberry highlights, her [your eye color] eyes eyeing her up familiarly.
“ah, mother!” the girl beams, “there you are!”
sharena freezes, looking down at the girl. did she just call her mother? surely there had to be some sort of confusion. but then again, the child did look like the spitting image of herself. surely...
“i’m sorry, i have no idea who you are, darling.” sharena eyes the kid sympathetically, the child letting out a goofy laugh. sharena’s heart skips a beat, that laugh sounds so much like someone else’s she knew...
“sure, okay,” the girl rolls her eyes, pushing past her and into her room. “leave the pranks to me, mother.” sharena is tempted to laugh out of confusion, but instead she says:
“i wish i could say this was a prank, but i really don’t know who you are.” she puts a finger to her lips, puzzled. she remembers robin telling her something about how her future children came back and how it was very weird at first to have a child only a few years her junior, but lucina and morgan were so lovely she didn’t mind. there would be no reason to lie about this, she just feels it’s odd for her own daughter to be a stranger to her.
“are you serious? you don’t recognize me? juliet... you know, your favorite child and all?” she teases, sitting on top of the chest beside sharena’s bed. “did you hit your head in the last battle? do i need to call elise?” she opens her mouth to speak, but as she does, another knock is heard, this time it was you knocking on the open door.
“uh, hi...” you say awkwardly, waving. “i just came to return your cape! gerome just finished stitching it up so...” you hold it out to her, shooting a nervous smile.
“well it’s about time,” juliet grins, “mother was just saying she didn’t remember me, i think we need to get her to a healer.” sharena gives you a confused look, and you flush pink. ‘daughter?’, you think, ‘what was she talking about?’
“mother? you mean sharena is your mother?” you sputter out.
“...yes. seriously, you two are acting odd today.” she crosses her arms, the baggy cloak shifting and sliding off one of her shoulders. “did something happen when i was gone today? did someone slip something into you guys’ food?”
“no, i just think you’re from a different time than us.” sharena gets closer, taking juliet’s hand into her own. “i mean, do i look as old as your mother does?” the child is silent for a minute, before answering:
“...no, you do look very young. i just thought that you looked nicer today.” she lets out a snort, “your hands are just as callused as hers, though.” sharena laughs, turning to look at you.
“wait, sharena, do you really think this is your daughter from the future?” you run a hand through your hair, in shock and disbelief. “i mean, not to seem like a skeptic, she does look a lot like you, but this is weird, right?”
“stranger things have happened.” she merely shrugs, “i just met her, but something about her is... familiar. call it women’s intuition but i know she’s telling the truth.” the room grows silent, and you let out a sigh, laughing quietly.
“alright, juliet, if sharena believes you, then so do i.” you break the silence, and juliet lets out a ‘tut’ noise.
“you always did take more convincing than mother.” she smiles wickedly, “which is why i love you.”
“wait, love me? am i--” you fluster, the pieces just now starting to fit together. both sharena and juliet give each other a look, and burst into laughter, sharena’s cheeks holding a light blush. truth be told, she was glad that you were her future spouse, there was no one she’d rather spend her life with. even if you two weren’t officially dating yet.
“gods, for a tactician you can be slow sometimes.”
anon asked: “Can I ask for Sharena and Alphonse who have a crush on the summoner, who is also constantly being flirted with by another hero, but they dont seem to mind at all. After awhile, they go up to the summoner and are like “Are you in a relationship with them or something?” and the summoner goes “No, I like you!” to them?“
a/n: team alfonse lost n now i’m emo :’( gotta support my daughter luci now to get revenge 😤
“ah, summoner!” lucina says, breaking your concentration away from sharena, who asked you to watch and see how much stronger she’s gotten by twirling around her lance. you don’t see how that shows off her strength, but you weren’t one to deny a hero, especially your best friend, a request. “i had a question to ask you.” sharena, always the extrovert, stops her fancy lance techniques and bounces over to the two of you.
“what is it?” you reply, eyeing sharena who’s wiggling her eyebrows at you. you have the urge to roll your eyes, but you know you’d do the exact same things if the roles were reversed, so you don’t.
“i was wondering if you could take me to the training tower?” she nervously drums the hilt of falchion, “i mean, not just me, me, my father, and my mother? if that’s okay with you?” you tap a finger to your lips, thinking if you has anything planned later today. when you can think of nothing, you answer:
“of course! just, later, right now i’m helping sharena.” lucina nods, looking from you to the other princess. “i can come get y’all once i’m done.”
“right. well, i’ll see you later, then.” with a small smile, she walks off. as soon as she’s out of earshot, sharena gives a whistle, grinning at you.
“i can’t believe you’re going on a date with luci with her parents!” she pats your shoulder, “chrom’s gonna kill you if robin doesn’t do it first!”
“a... date? you think me and lucina are...?”
“well, yeah, i see how you two are always together, you can’t hide it from me!”
“there’s nothing to hide, me and lucina are just friends, you think i can get a girl like her?” you snort, sharena frowning at your self-deprecating joke. “you’re cute.”
“oh please, i think you’re pretty great.” she winks, and then quickly puts you on the spot, “then who do you like, if not luci, hm? you can tell me anything.” she shifts, absentmindedly tapping her lance. you pause for a moment, thinking about all the heroes who you thought were attractive. the grimas, reinhardt, azura, katarina, innes, but then you look up and see sharena, her eyes sparkling mischievously as she waits for an answer and it clicks.
sharena was the one you liked.
“um, wow, i think i just figured it out.” you shift nervously, “you, sharena.” it takes a moment for her to realize what you said, and at first, she opens her mouth to tease you, but then she smiles, tackling you in a hug.
“i was hoping that would be your answer!” she nuzzles into your neck, “because i like you too, i have for a loooong time, you just didn’t notice!” you chuckle, hugging her tightly back, and then something else dawns on you.
The sun had set on the replica Askr that you and the rest of the Order of Heroes had found yourselves in. Things had been tense from the very moment you had set foot into a town nearby Askr, seeing Sharena’s favorite flower being spread around everywhere. Needless to say, the blonde had been extremely put off by this.
You sat in one of many empty houses that still somehow showed signs of life. Food was set out across a table, the beds hadn’t been made, there was even a basket of laundry sitting knocked over at the bottom of a staircase. However, the most off-putting thing was a picture hanging on the wall above your bed showing a family that you were sure you had seen while shopping around in the marketplace in the Askr you had known. You honestly couldn’t help but to have a pit in the bottom of your stomach. This was so uncanny. You really hadn’t felt this much dread since…
A knock on the door to your room tore you from your thoughts. You cleared your throat and stood, slowly walking over to the door. You opened it, only to see Sharena standing there. The color was drained from her face, but she still had her normal smile on her face… Though you could tell that it was not genuine.“Sleepover?” She was holding a blanket and pillow. Her grip tightened on both of these before she spoke again. “Please?”“Y-Yeah, come on in, Sharena.” You took a step to the side, and Askr’s princess wasted no time in coming inside. You closed the door behind her and glanced in her direction. “Is everything alright?” You didn’t hesitate to voice your concern for the blonde. Just like how she didn’t hesitate to reply.“I’m scared.” She sat down on the bed, pulling her legs up to her chest and burying her face in her knees. “I’m… Really really scared, actually. I don’t know what’s going on, and I think that in this version of Askr, I might be…” she trailed off. You didn’t have to ask her what she was going to finish that with. Dead. You walked over to her and sat down on the bed with a tiny frown on your face. “H-Hey… This other Sharena isn’t the Sharena we know. Right?”“I guess, but…” Sharena trailed off, and you nodded a little bit, sighing.“I’m so sorry that we ended up here…” You murmured, rubbing the back of your neck and glancing to the side. Sharena shook her head and offered a tiny smile.“It’s alright. I know that I’ll be alright. I mean, I’ve got you with me, right?” Her smile became a bit more genuine. You rose an eyebrow and grinned in an awkward way. “You also have Alfonse, Anna, and Eir, though.” You pointed out, and Sharena laughed sheepishly, her cheeks becoming a darker color.“Yeah, I know, but… Well, you mean a lot to me.” She shrugged a little bit and looked away. Before you could reply, she scooted back and laid down. “A-Anyway, let’s get some sleep! We’ve probably got a long day tomorrow.”You blinked a few times before laying down next to her, since there was only one bed in the room. You turned onto your side, making eye contact with Sharena, who was looking at you with darker cheeks than before.“Hey…” she spoke up suddenly, and you blinked I’m surprise. “Can I ask you something?”You nodded a little bit and tilted your head to the side with a small smile. “Of course, what is it?”Sharena took a deep breath and looked anywhere but at your face. “If… If I were to kiss you right now, would you be upset?” Your eyes widened a small fraction, and now you knew why she had been blushing.“Well… N-No, not at all, actually.” You replied, and Sharena’s face seemed to light up as she looked at you again.“Then, can I—?” You looked back at her again, and the two of you made eye contact. You wordlessly nodded, offering a dumb smile. Sharena’s smile widened a bit before she leaned forward, planting a quick kiss on your lips before she pulled away and turned to her other side, covering her face with her hands covering her face. That… Wasn’t exactly what you had been expecting, but it was nice nonetheless. “Goodnight, Sharena.” You leaned forward and pecked her cheek before turning to your other side.
