Marlowe Scrimshaw:

(Sharkmon: A Nautical Creature with a bad attitude, who looks to be a mechanical creation as well? This guy is going to be Marlowe’s partner because of how they both prefer their own company to others)

The Clown Troop:

(Kiki) (Uma) (Yuen)

(Kiki has Terriermon, Uma has Meramon, and Yuen has Wormmon. All 3 of them find their partner to be absolutely adorable, even Uma and Meramon. Yuen’s Wormmon is highly aggressive and bullies Kiki’s Terriermon a lot)

Rocks Ramiel:

(Gallantmon: Ramiel and Gallantmon are legitimately just drinking buddies. He’s also the one who Ramiel can talk to and share his deeper thoughts…like the death of his brother or how he is 90 years old. Sadness aside, they’re basically just a duo of guys with a huge age gap, so they do dumb shit together)

Victoria Adelaide:

(Shoutmon: Victoria and Shoutmon are both loud and proud about almost everything about themselves, they are both top dog in their heads and are ready to fight anyone who disagrees with that. Victoria and Shoutmon also like to blast rock and roll and do pranks. They’re just two gals being pals!!)

Mahina Hoku:

(Beelzemon: Mahina had somehow raised her Impmon partner into this tall figure with twin shotguns, even still it likes to torment her. It steals her fan fiction just to make her get all worked up looking for it, he teases her regularly about her girlish nature, and he’s always just pointing at muscular men in magazines and going like “Do you like this”? Though through all the teasing, the two of them are still partners and that means they’re a nightmare to fight. Be it alone or together)

Charles Craven:

(Lilithmon: He wasn’t expecting his Plotmon to digivolve into a Ladydevimon sure but he wasn’t expecting his little buddy to become this either. Despite that, Charles doesn’t judge and the two of them are still almost inseparable friends. Lilithmon carries herself with a sultry air to her but around Charles, she’s more of a “Let’s look at snail tumblr instead of having you waste away doing this paperwork” type)

Spooky aquatic Digimon? Sign me up!

SkullSeadramon is something I never knew I needed, but now I don't know how I lived without a skeleton sea serpent.

Skarmon seems like one of those Digimon we really should have had by now. Like what do you mean it took until 2025 to make a shark Digimon? This guy kicks ass and gives me vibes of both Tylomon and Coelamon. Interestingly, the topredos are called Plutodumon and Wikimon currently considers them to be their own Digimon. It isn't stated yet what Sharkmon evolves from, so maybe it'll be part of a new line with Plutodumon.

Well, shit, they sure just casually revealed there will be brand new Digimon in Time Stranger this morning. And not just obvious additions to the Olympos XII mythos, but two aquatic standalones that’d be at home outside the Iliad server. Makes me wonder what other cool new mons they made for the game.

Everything said and done, I do think all the new digimon are gonna be plot important, and probably boss monsters. Hard to tell what to expect, though if I had to guess, I think we’ll be getting one new ice digimon at least. One of the major zones shown so far is an icy tundra locked in night, most likely ruled over by Dianamon, and there aren’t too many ice digimon compared to things like aquatic or plant themed ones.

As for other ones I could see happening/ think would be neat…

The Bearmon brothers are shown to be prominent npcs, and I’m on team “One’s gonna evolve into Marsmon, the other Callismon”. And while GrapLeomon makes enough sense to evolve into Marsmon, I do think this would be a perfect time to give Grizzmon its own ultimate.

And honestly, Minervamon’s pre-evolutions have always felt all over the place for me. Digitamamon, Monzaemon, BlackWereGarurumon, none of them feel super fitting all things considered.

Vestamon, Proserpinamon… As a Centarumon fan, I’d love for him to get an ultimate like Chironmon…

Honestly, I’d love a Boreagamon, Notagamon, Euragamon to complete the wind god set made by Zephagamon. Have them be Jupitermons elite personal soldiers or something like that.

But all in all, what I most expect is new forms for Aegiochusmon.

So, a minor theory I’ve been cooking up for a while is that since Aegiomon is sort of your (probably) permanent fourth party member, once he finally evolves into Aegiochusmon you’ll get to freely swap between his different forms (which each have different move pools and elemental affinities). However, you’ll end up unlocking these forms one by one.

An important thing about Aegiochusmon is that his different forms come from him absorbing the data of different kinds of digimon. Red for dragon, Blue for mechanical, Green for plant, Dark for dark, and Holy for holy. However, this leaves out certain types of digimon, and each of the major zones of the digital world so far seem to be inhabited by specific types of digimon. As such, I think after completing each zone, you unlock a new form.

Red for the Red Canyon Zone that’s probably Apollomon’s domain.

Blue for some unrevealed mechanical zone 

Green for the Gear forest 

Dark for some unrevealed underworld zone, likely ruled by Plutomon

Holy for the Golden Tower Zone from the first trailer 

With 3 potential new forms

An Aquatic form from the Gear Abyss

An Ice form from the Tundra Zone

And maybe a beast form from Central Town (Considering Merukimon’s and maybe even Marsmon’s influence)

Now that the floodgates have been opened, I will be genuinely shocked if Aegiochusmon doesn’t get at least one new form in this game.
