I did! He’s great. He’s got his swampy island and a symbiotic relationship with the vampire spawn group Merry and her crew foisted on him. They hunt the island’s wildlife and leave the blood-drained carcasses to rot and age for when Naeric is hungry. So he really doesn’t even have to hunt for himself any more. He’s been doing some traveling further East, closer to Thay, keeping Merry updated on his adventures as he goes. His favorite hobby is exploring the ruins of ancient civilizations and bringing back trinkets and treasures for his hoard

He’s still nursing his broken heart but I think he’ll learn to love again some day soon. I mean, he does love Merry, of course, but he’ll probably give it a few decades before he tries dating again

The Feast (2021), La Llorona (2019), and The Medium (2021) were each gorgeous foreign folk horrors/possession horrors (set in Wales, Guatemala, and Thailand, respectively). None is much like the others so I don’t know why I’m lumping them together other than that they’re spooky and not from the US or Canada.

Slumber Party Massacre (2021) was a perfect update to the franchise & super fun, Spontaneous (2020) stressed me the heck out, and The Matrix: Resurrections (2021) was one of my only in-theatre experiences this pandemic …and it was so consistent with the original trilogy that it brought me real joy.

Mostly I loved Tampopo (1985) because I love stories about food, Kajillionaire (2020) broke my heart, and I’m obsessed with Ada in Lamb (2021).

Unlike Natalie I have watched enough movies to have honourable mentions, which are:
