#EXILE #Repost @hendrik_folkerts with @get_repost ・・・ Works that explore the epistolary form in this group exhibition at @wittedewith__ From the late 17th century until the present day, the letter as a form evokes connectivity and subjectivity, against a backdrop of displacement or exile, and flowing between private and public spaces. With a letter by Quinn Latimer, Mahmoud Khaled’s “portraits” of a Grindr conversation during civil unrest and violence, Sharon Hayes reading letters to unnamed lovers while standing outside of a bank in midtown Manhattan, Wu Tsang’s and Fred Moten’s voices overlapping in correspondence, Carlos Motta’s film about two women in imaginary dialogue between Beirut and Columbia, more than 700 letters and postcards by Dora Garcia that explore the meaning of exile, and Akram Zaatari whose epistolary film factors in time as the context of correspondence.
