WW: Assuming Marie had died or become a splicer, would the girls be able to leave Rapture without her help? How would Marie being "gone" (i.e; dead, spliced, what have you) effect Cadi?

It actually is possible that they can leave Rapture without their mom's help. It would most definitely leave an impact for Rebecca, and Arcadia would have no choice but to live without a real mother figure. They've searched for her for the longest time, only to end up with doing so for nothing. Rebecca has been a mother-type figure for Arcadia, during the time surviving in Rapture, but if they were to be outside of the city,and into the surface, they would have no idea as to where to go. For once she'd feel totally lost, and Arcadia would only rely on Rebecca as to what they need to do from there. It would effect Arcadia majorly, as well. She knew her mother better than her father, and her mother was the one to always take care of her. So knowing that she's gone would completely impact her.
