From childhood to Pretty Simple Things...
I've always loved to be creative! Crafty as a child, I've carried this through my 25 years so far and last year I set out to pursue this in a more committed way by setting up Pretty Simple Things.
Born out of a love for creativity and a passion for a homemade home, buying a home with my gorgeous husband Jonny [coupled with the amazing gift of a sewing machine for Christmas], inspired me to set out and make it ours by sewing our own homemade things.
This wasn't as easy as I thought.
A fairly new beginner to the sewing market I didn't know the best place to go for material, what was a good price, what was ethical. And I figured it wasn't just me who would have these questions ... so Pretty Simple Things was born.
With the help of an amazingly talented bunch of friends, slowly but surely the idea for make you own craft kits was formed and here I am today, preparing for Sharrow Vale market on Sunday 20th July. With 420 triangles left to cut out for my bunting, an incredible amount of things on my to do list and all this to do with my one day a week working on Pretty Simple Things, it isn't easy but it is a whole lot of fun.
Pretty Simple Things brings me a whole lot of joy and I hope the people who buy the kits have a whole lot of fun making them!
