Shavehorse! Well 2/3rds of one. I passed my maths and English skills assessments today so I thought I’d treat myself and make a shavehorse. I’ve always wanted one and my drawknife has been judging me for not providing it with its dance partner. First time using my new chopsaw too so that was fun. Zach and I built a Shave Horse/Bow Makers Bench for him to use in making his bows. It breaks down by removing 5 bolts for easier transport. I forgot to post about phase I, but here's phase II of me and @emilyruthgroves working on building a shave horse, for use in her forest school groups. Last time we were hewing the body out of a chunk of poplar. Today we've split an ash log and begun shaping the legs.
