Other than Olivia and Mercedes, what other female characters do you like and also the ships they're apart of and why? Hope this question made sense.
Hmm, I'm not sure if you mean on Glee and Scandal or just generally on TV. I'm gonna go with generally because I want to talk about all of my shows. I see this as a challenge I was meant to take on. And also I might spontaneously bust out into embarrassing fangirling.
Alias: Sydney x Vaughn, Francie x Will, Dixon x Chase, Jack x Dr. Barnett. I'll start with Alias because it still remains one of my favorite shows although the Rambaldi mess kind of ruined it. Sydney is a badass double agent who juggled graduate school and espionage. Francie was her best friend who opened her own restaurant and made Syd's life normal. Director Chase (played by Angela Bassett, btw) led the CIA, which was badass. Dr. Barnett was a CIA psychiatrist who was very sympathetic to her patients. All of these characters were strong and good but flawed and truly cared about their partners.
Glee: Sam x Mercedes, Mercedes x solos, Roz x zingers, Quinn x bohemian wardrobe, Tina x solos, Troubletones x everything. I no longer watch it but I still ship Samcedes, obviously. My other favorite characters are Tina because she is a truth-teller, Quinn because QUINNCEDESkjfsfjsdfdfiewru, Troubletones BECAUSE SERIOUSLY HTF DID THEY LOSE AT SECTIONALS? They shat on everybody's dreams and had better costumes that Mercedes designed because she is that bitch. I'ma just walk away before I get mad.
Leverage: Hardison x Parker, Sophie x Nate, Eliot x badassery. I recently finished the entire series and I'm sad that it's been cancelled. Parker is the poster child for socially awkward girls everywhere. I love Pardison because they play off of each other well and, shit, there's Aldis Hodge. Sophie is not only an awesome grifter, she has a heart and sort of became a mother/big sister figure to Parker. Their partners know them inside and out and feelings...askjfajkfafj!!!
Mad Men: Peggy x career, Sally x rebellion. I don't really have ships for this show because I find that I don't really like the characters, but I like to see just how badly they'll fuck up. I'm interested in seeing if Peggy really becomes the trailblazer she's striving to be or if she'll fail. And I cannot fucking wait until Sally starts burning bras and acting out because her parents are so fucking horrible.
Merlin: Arthur x Gwen, Morgana x Sanity. I just caught up with Merlin and I'm so fucking pissed about the ending, I can't see straight. I've decided that it never happened. Anyway, Gwen is strong and perfect and sweet and good. Morgana started off sweet and she was in some ways a victim of her circumstances considering her father made sorcery illegal in the kingdom and she was a sorceress. I really enjoyed Gwen and Morgana's friendship. It reminded me of Sydney and Francie's on "Alias" and it's really a shame how it devolved. Morgana and Regina are alike in that way... their pain made them evil and I spent a lot of time wishing and hoping that they would finally turn to the good side. It's too late for Morgana, but perhaps not for Regina. Arthur loves him some Gwen and the way he seeks her counsel, needs her input while making decisions... it's a true partnership and I appreciate their dynamic.
My Mad Fat Diary: Rae x Finn, Me x soundtrack. [in a British accent] K, so, I'm totes behind on this massive show and I'm quite annoyed becuz everyone on me dash keeps reblogging photosets from it and I'm like "for fuck's sake, I 'aven't even seen the episode. fuck off!" But like I'm just ignored and I have to scroll fast and it's really a bunch of bullshit, okay? Anyway, Rae is like me when I was 16 and Finn is a total hottie. Also, I have a major bout of reminiscing when I listen to the music and it's all quality and I love it! Can I just say that it's absolute bollocks that this season is only six episodes?! I swear I thought they were takin' the piss but it's true. I'm buggered. Needless to say this is my program and I quite like it! It's wicked, yeah?
Once Upon A Time: Snowing, Regina x Archie, Emma x Graham, Belle x Mr. Gold. If you haven't figured out by now, I'm a fan of strong female characters. Snow/Mary Margaret, Emma, Belle and Regina are all strong, flawed, devoted and fight for what they believe in. They're also shippable with so many different people, but I think these pairings are/were the strongest.
Parenthood: Jasmine x Crosby, Kristina x Adam, Amber x Ryan, Julia x Joel. I like these women/couples for different reasons. Jasmine is funny but really flawed because she hid the fact that she had Crosby's child from him for five years. Still, they got married and are now having another baby. feelings. Kristina is a little high-strung but I suppose having a child with Asperger's will do that to you. She also is in remission for breast cancer and I think her relationship with Adam is a realistic portrayal of marriage. Amber is kind of the screw-up but the kind of screw-up you root for. Ryan served in Afghanistan and has PTSD and their relationship reminds me so much of Xaria x Iz that I legit get feelings while watching this show. Julia was the breadwinner for her family for so long and she tries to be perfect at everything so of course she fails. Joel is supportive while still trying to create an identity for himself outside of their children and their struggles are very relatable. Constant tears with this show.
Parks and Recreation: Ben x Leslie, Ann x Tom, Donna x Awesomeness, April x Andy. This show probably has my favorite female friendship of all time in Leslie x Ann. They're soulmates! And then we have the perfection that's Ben x Leslie. Ben knows Leslie is legit crazy about city government, waffles and spontaneous dance parties while Leslie knows Ben is a nerd and they accept each other as is. It's beautiful and they're getting married lfkjfajkfjfjaiorur92847938469284y24y! [drool] Like OMG, PERFECT!!!! [crying, babbling, rolling around on ground] Ann is a nerd, too, but she's so supportive of Leslie and adorably awkward. Tom Haverford is a douche, but he's less douchy with Ann. They're just really sweet together. Donna Meagle is everything I aspire to be in life. The end.
Person of Interest: CARTER X REESE, GRACE X FINCH. OMG, WE'VE NOW REACHED THE ALL CAPS PORTION OF THIS MESSAGE. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW HARD I SHIP CAREESE. JOSS CARTER IS A BADASS COP, A WONDERFUL MOTHER, EX-SOLDIER, JUST ALL AROUND PERFECT HUMAN BEING AND... REESE IS BATSHIT CRAZY, BUT HE GETS THE JOB DONE AND THEY FLIRT AND ARE BECOMING FRIENDS AND OMG I FUCKING LOVE THEM AND FALKFJASDKFJ;ASD;AFJLFLJ!!! AND THEN FINCH... HAD A FIANCEE AND SHE'S GRACE AND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MACHINE IS KEEPING THEM APART AND IT'S NOT FAIR BECAUSE THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AND FEELINGSSSSSSSSSSS.... [crying] (holy shit none of that made sense, I'm sorry)
Pretty Little Liars: Spencer x Toby, Spencer x awesomeness, Hanna x Caleb, Hanna x clothes, Emily x Maya, The girls x each other. Spencer is just everything. She's witty, smart, bold... the complete package and when she cries... Troain is flawless! I really hate that Toby is A, but I hope he's A to protect the girls. Hanna has the best lines and the best clothes and probably, the healthiest relationship. I am still pissed that Maya is dead. I don't hate Paige, but I'm not exactly doing cartwheels for those two. But above everything, I ship the Liars with each other because uteruses over dudeseres.
Scandal: Olivia x Fitz, Quinn x a clue, Harrison x suits, Abby x David. I really don't have to say much about this because it speaks for itself. I really do want Abby to end up with David. They're good together. Fitz and Olivia are a hot ass mess. I want more of Harrison's backstory.
The Walking Dead: Michonne x Darryl, Maggie x Glenn, Rick x Sanity, The Governor x Merle x horrible death. Michonne is a queen among some of the stupidest motherfuckers on Earth. Darryl is a king. It just makes sense. Maggie and Glenn give us that sweetness in the midst of some fucked up circumstances. Rick is just... he's grieving and he's lost his fucking mind. The Governor is a despicable asshole and Merle is a waste of oxygen.
I have more shows, but I think I'm going to stop because I'm sure this applies to whoever's reading this:
I lost my mind somewhere between Merlin and Person of Interest. I know you noticed. I'm so sorry. [eats donut of shame] It was delicious.
