Elisha is jeered
The Old Testament prophet Elisha encounters a gang of rowdy boys outside the town of Bethel. They mock his bald head and tell him to get lost (“Go up, thou bald head!” in the King James translation).
The vengeful prophet calls down the wrath of God: two she-bears that emerge from the woods and rip to shreds forty-two of the boys.
