my mom's impression of DDBA episode 1 & 2

so my mom really likes iron man and marvel stuff, watching marvel stuff is our bonding moment

so i got her into daredevil as well a couple years ago

so here are her impressions of the episodes (that i remember, bc we do drink together while watching stuff)

"no, that's just bullshit now. that's a joke. how is it possible that he's [dex] still alive?" "...fisk was shot in the eye by echo and he's still walking around, mom. what do you mean 'how's it possible'? it's a hero series. there's no logic!" (a real exchange where i tried and failed not to laugh)

"I'm feeling a weight on my chest now, a bad sensation :(" 20 minutes after foggy's death she was still sad

and she bought it up again after the two episodes. mom was saddened, she's not over it.

also she definitely still thinks fisk hired dex, she's fighting me on this

"he should have broken his spine!" "...he did, though. last season." "no, but he should've broken it now." "i mean, it's been fixed with metal an' all" "but what about his heart? his lungs?" unfortunately, for her displeasure, i don't have all the answers

"is he [dex] coming back? you watched this already, haven't you?" she is the anti-spoiler-woman. bc she knows i do a first watch in english, she pesters me FOR SPOILERS. and i have to keep them in.

hearing hector ayala's name and repeating it in a mutter to herself a couple of times. i think she either liked how it sounded or was very pleased by the presence of a latino name.👍

also she's been spoiled by the punisher, not everyone's good like that, mom

heather signing something "did she sell matt out?" "...mom, it's an NDA, probably. (my ass is not even trying not to laugh anymore)" "what for?" "he's the mayor??"

the apartment confrontation "did he kill them? (appalled)" "i'm gonna be honest, idk (i get the glare from when she wants spoilers) i really don't, there's only these two episodes out!" "he's going to kill again, now that he already killed once." (meanwhile dex very much alive)

credits of episode 2. a long silence. "no, i didn't like it. i feel bad. they killed foggy." she's still thinking about it. the only information she fully processed from 2 episodes.
