Black female characters can't ever seem to win. If they are snarky or more closed off like Aurora they get called a bitch, but even when they are more friendly they are described by fandom as "boring" like Sloane was or "annoying" & "forced" like Lily. I actually saw people relieved that she wasn't on the BB 2 cover and hoping that meant she would be written out or given less time in the book.
