kolivan and the blades
The Blades of Marmora are super protective of the cubs, especially if they haven’t seen them in a long time (a week or so).
Akira regularly toddles into training sessions and grabs Kolivan’s leg. He falls over multiple times until Kolivan reaches down with a big claw to help the baby up.
Akira grabs big fistfuls of Kolivan's fur and Kolivan just lets him. He’s been known to lead a meeting with a tiny poofball clinging to him. Akira in particular likes to bite into Kolivan’s braid with his tiny teeth and worry it like a dog toy. Kolivan continues his briefings with a completely straight face. Mitsuko loves to tug on his ears. Shiro once caught Kolivan doing his paperwork with Haru sleeping in the crook of his neck.
The Blades all have pet names for the babies. They give them all kinds of traditional Galra gifts.
None of the babies could pronounce “Kolivian” at first. Imagine, if you will, a tiny baby voice attempting his name:
Koruban
Ko
Koofvan
Koolivan
Eventually they just use “Kool.”
