A full Psynergy/class/stat spread for Sheker! It only covers her base class, though. ;; idk maybe if people think this is cool, I'll do them for Doloro and Meriel as well. It's on Google Docs because there are a few tables.
what was that more oc pokemon teams oh okay
For all my GS OCs, doomed to forever be fandom OCs.
Sheker:
I don't think she'd be very strong yet--I mean, she's still only twelve. ;; All Ground types with a desert theme because I feel like she;d definitely still keep that kind of theme.
Doloro:
Xatu was way too perfect to pass up, and the rest are all kind of maternal/mystical/healer Pokemon? Doloro is definitely the (Sometimes Pretentious Teenage Messiah) Team Mom, :3c
Meriel:
Definitely the strongest out of the three main Adept protags, though she's still got a ways to go. I originally gave her a bunch of sturdy but powerful 'mons to mimic her fighting style until I realized that was a bit overpowered. ;;
Kaph:
Why yes, I did just make him a literal Badass Normal. eue
Gertrud:
Steel specialist E4 member? idk I think it would be cool. She has a lot of double weaknesses in her team since she's actually a pretty reckless fighter herself, but I don't think they'd be as easy to exploit as people would expect.
Abeni:
Fire type E4 to match Gertrud. uwu And yes the Durant/Heatmor thing was on purpose. I kind of tried to pick the more elegant Fire types for her, and I definitely think she'd be good/patient enough for a Volcarona.
farting around with GS OC ideas, not much to see here
I've been tossing around this idea for a few months--basically, it follows my headcanon that each successive generation of Adepts after the Golden Sun Event is more powerful than the last. Because this means a lot of kids running amok with unchecked powers, a group of first-generation post-GS Adepts, centered in Tolbi, decides to try and find these kids in order to teach them to control their Psynergy.
Here's where this kid comes in--I'm toying with the name Sheker, which is Kazakh for "sweet sand". She's a Venus Adept begotten of a one-night-stand between two random people in a now much larger Lalivero, and as neither of them were Adepts, she was essentially abandoned as a toddler. Some other Venus Adept whose name is tbd found her, recognized her power, and the two have had a master-student relationship ever since, living out in the desert.
She's about twelve, slightly on the small side for her age and built along a slim, almost scrawny figure. Ethnically, I picture her looking Middle Eastern (since that seems to be the general equivalent of the Lalivero area), with warm tan skin, pronounced eyebrows, big light brown eyes with thick lashes, full lips, a heart-shaped face that ends in a sharp chin, and a strong profile that would look a bit severe if it weren't for the fact that she's so lively and animated. Her hair is pretty long, coming down to the small of her back, and it's very curly and unruly. Though it looks black, it's actually just a very deep, rich shade of brown streaked with sandy blonde highlights--since she's an Adept, I don't think that's too much of a stretch. The highlights are almost the exact shade of her eyes. Her voice is just naturally very loud and brassy, easily projected and a bit childish-sounding. Kind of like a really loud Lilo, tbh. Dresses mostly in browns and golds, and never, ever wears shoes, since her element prevents her from being hurt by the heat of the desert sand, and it helps her keep her focus when using Psynergy.
Personality-wise, she's impetuous and spunky, constantly bombarding her master with questions and always eager to prove herself. She has a ridiculously short attention span, but being "grounded" by her bare feet in connection with the earth helps her to stay focused and level-headed. Loves to explore, even though there's not exactly much to see in the desert, and has a huge collection of things she's sensed and found beneath the sand. She pretty much worships the ground her master walks on, but that doesn't stop her from being difficult at times, and she won't hesitate to speak out if she doesn't like something. Her human contact has been fairly limited, but overall, if she perceives someone as younger than her (even when they're actually not), she'll lord her age over them and expect them to listen to everything she says unquestioningly. Actually gets along better with adults overall, since while she's average intellectually, she can carry on a very engaging and surprisingly thoughtful conversation that often loses her peers' attention/understanding. This does nothing to stop her from being a bit of a brat, but she's a good kid. Grows attached to others very easily, to the point where she can get a little clingy (which can be understandably grating on the nerves).
From a combat perspective, there's not too much to say, as she's definitely still in training. If we were to compare her to canon Adepts around her age, she's very far behind them--though in her defense, healers like Rief seem to start their training very young, and Himi is just a prodigy. Overall, she'd be a mage-style Adept, though leaning a bit towards the magic knight end of things. So far, she's only learned how to use a staff, but she's really eager to try out a sword, having forgotten completely how much she griped while learning the staff. Her Psynergy would probably have to be largely fanon, since it's centered around sand rather than the more traditional plants and solid ground (seriously there's so many possible Venus Psynergies that go totally unexplored). She does have a single Djinni (since they're relatively common nowadays), Dune--PP +4, AGI +10, and deals a 140% Venus-based attack. Sometimes, Djinn are effective at reigning in reckless young Adepts, but this is not one of those times. :y
