I got another one folks
Person A: “I need you to help me hide a dead body.”
Person B: “.....Again?”
Person A: “Well technically it’s the same body. There were just a few unexpected complications. That’s all.”
Person B: “.....I don’t know where to even begin with that.”
I’m willing to bet that at least 50% of people who know the word shirk know it because of pokemon mystery dungeon.
Okay, a little bit more of the weird Selkie Cub AU from @sketchy-noodles. Not to be confused with other Selkie Cub AU out here. Now with Scar being 90% more seal.
Cub knew Scar wasn't aware of the meanings of his vocalizations. The soft whimpers of a distressed seal pup were nearly constant as the man...well at this point, mostly seal, suffered through the final internal changes of his transformation.
Joe had helped him pile nearly every available blanket in Scar's home on top of the painfully thin seal. Scar was mostly oblivious, curled as much as he could in his new form. He was still slightly shivering despite the weight of the blankets on top of him.
"Any change?" Joe asked as he let himself in. He was holding some of his own blankets he'd brought over.
"No," Cub glanced over his shoulder before turning back to his friend. "I think the end is close, though."
"That's good, right?"
"Mostly. He won't be in pain, but he's too thin. I'm afraid if he goes in the ocean like this he'll freeze. The only seals I've seen this thin were on their death bed."
Scar snuffled softly, head tossing from side to side in his sleep.
"I need to get him to the rehabbers."
"He won't like that."
"I don't care!," Cub snapped. "He's been through enough. I'm not gonna let him die."
"There was a soft chuff, causing Cub to look down into dark eyes. Scar made a few frustrated noises before sagging to the bed. He huffed a sigh, then pressed into Cub's leg.
"I know. I'm sorry."
Another chuff before he pressed harder. He nosed at Cub's pelt, then turned wide dark eyes back at him.
"I'm gonna parboil under those blankets.
Another louder sound of impatience.
"You just get changed," Joe said, stepping closer and grabbing some of the blankets, pulling them back. "Seals huddle for warmth, so we might not have to put all of them back."
Cub gave Joe a look at his blithely stated seal facts, but the man was unphased.
Scar let out a loud bellow of impatience then froze, looking almost startled at his own volume.
"At least we know your lungs are okay." Cub muttered.
He pulled on his pelt and the bed creaked ominously under the weight of two seals. Meanwhile, Joe pulled back the covers. Scar's shivers kicked up a bit, but cub still nearly froze. Next to his own healthy bulk, the true depth of the other seal's malnourishment was painfully obvious.
"Oh dear," Joe said softly.
Cub gave a distressed chuff before shimmying over to be next to his friend. He pressed as much of himself as he could to the other seal.
Joe gently tucked them in, then lay a few more blankets over Scar, tucking them around.
"Just rest now, Scar. I'm sure this will be done soon, then we can get you some help."
