The Shepard I played through all of ME:LE with 🥰 Rowan is a bit of a golden child, who has a lot of privilege, but also endless compassion for others. She's a true hero who always tries to do what's right.
Rowan falls for Liara in ME1, but after Rowan is brought back by Cerberus the two of them drift apart, feeling like they've both changed too much for the relationship to work any longer. However, they maintain a close friendship (as well as latent romantic feelings on Liara's part). Shortly after, Rowan unexpectedly falls hard for Thane. After his death, she continues to mourn him throughout the events of ME3.
