Semi-Happy || Jody and Jo
@sheriffofsiouxfalls
Since the initial fall of the world, Jodee had done well to keep herself in check. There had been several close calls, far more than Jo had anticipated, but by the grace of God she managed to survive.
Which was about all she was doing at this point. Just barely surviving. The horses were doing well. The chickens were coming to slow low number in the houses. It wasn’t looking too good on the hill and hard decisions were having to be made. Especially after losing the Hills, the neighbors that helped out with the chicken houses. That had been hard, too hard almost.
But with the more difficult decisions being made, Jo needed to get herself together and make a move. Food was scarce, medicine was even worse, and the walkers were moving in along with winter. Who knew that herd migration was a seasonal thing? Certainly not not one Jo Dean Morgan.
She packed her mule, Bobby, and headed towards North Carolina. The trek wasn’t fun and certainly not easy. There were several stops made and three days hunkered in a Walmart when she spotted people moving through the neighborhood. Or maybe she had come across people that lived there. Either way, Jo wasn’t going to let them know she was there. With a mule on the tampon aisle.
