Re Martin's "I can do that with a look" acting interview, wasn't that mentioned in one of the official BBC Sherlock books? Sherlock Cronicles springs immediately to mind, but I'm not 100% sure it's that one? I'm sure it's been mentioned elsewhere too though!

Ahhhhhh I’m honestly not sure! I have the Chronicles book, I’m just too lazy to figure out where it is, hahhahahh. That sounds correct actually, though, and probably where I read it :P

The Chronicle's of Sherlock

The bright blue sky begins to turn many shades of bright orange, pink, and red as the sun begins to set upon 221 Baker Street. Despite that, Sherlock Holmes, and John Watson, are both hard at work.

"Sherlock! I thought we agreed on no smoking around Rosy!"John yells across the flat.

"Well, it's not my fault her infant lungs can't handle the smoke! Perhaps she'll get used to it! Plus this happens to be a cigarette worthy case and I won't let some weak-minded child get in my way!" Sherlock yells back, ashing his cigarette.

Only an hour earlier a woman had given them a case. Although this one was, different, she had committed the crime, she even admitted to that, but the crime had been kidnaping, and it was Sherlock's job to find them.

"Well maybe if you went out and solved the case you wouldn't have to smo!-" John gets cut off by Mrs.Hudson walking in

"Stop fighting around the baby! Look, you've gone and made her cry!" She says, walking over and picking Rosy up "Now Sherlock, put that cigarette out and go do your job! And take John with you, he gets terribly lonely when you leave without him."

"I do not, "John says quickly, his face flushing a bit.

"Nevermind that" Sherlock puts the cigarette out and puts his hat and coat on "Come on John, the game is on!" and with that, they both leave.

Miss.Hudson chuckles just a bit as she sets Rosy down.

“Sherlock! How do you know where we’re going?” John asks as he attempts to keep up with him.

“Well it’s quite obvious, I'm surprised you didn't figure it out” Sherlock answers, his pace seems to quicken.

“You don’t actually know, do you?” John question.

“Of course I know, but I want to see if you can figure it out, put the pieces together John” he continues to walk on for a minute before hailing a cab and getting in, john follows.

“Big Ben? Why there of all places?” John asks upon hearing Sherlock tell the cabbie.

“She had crumbs from chips and a burger on her dress, along with a smell on her breath one can only receive from the fast-food restaurant that just opened across the street from there,” Sherlock answers rather quickly.

“Oh.. that makes sense,” John says, subconsciously seeing if he has a mint or gum in his pockets, which he doesn’t. Sherlock notices but doesn’t say anything for the moment.

About five minutes pass and the cab stops “Looks like we’re here” Sherlock steps out of the cab after paying, John steps out a second or two after him. They both then walk into Big Ben together.

The Sherlock BBC Christmas Special ‘The Abominable Bride’ is generally considered to take place inside Sherlock’s head as his 'victorian fantasy’. Opinions differ when it comes to Series Four. As far as I’m concerned …. Sherlock is still not back from his mind journey and the solution of the story is still untold. Where though does that journey start?

Leafing through the 'SHERLOCK CHRONICLES’, I stumbled over the last chapter of that book ... the table of contents ... and found this:

Sure, most likely this is just a nice and clever idea of the creators. But then ... who knows? Maybe it's a case of  'We told you, but did you listen?' after all.   Or, as this is about a book, perhaps …  'We wrote it down, but did you read it?'

The front page for the final chapter is interesting too. It is designed like a chessboard. Dark blue squares (dsplaying images from the film set) overlay the actual picture ... surrounding Sherlock. It gives the impression as if Sherlock is emerging out of that chessboard ... breaking through its squares. His right hand is located directly behind the word 'palace'.

And the final picture for that chapter and also for the book shows Sherlock walking out of his bedroom in 221b

That's the corresponding scene at the end of The Empty Hearse

This discovery reminded me of an old post from September 2016. It was one of the first posts I dared to write about the possibility of a ‘mind palace’ that reaches even further back than the shooting scene in CAM Tower of HLV. At that point I had reached ASIB on my way backwards … but I didn’t stop there  X X  and I’m still on my way through that incredible story. :)))

We know the plane will come back in S4. Double O seven - BondAir - the ‘Flight of the Dead. It will come back in episode 3 as it is filmed by Benjamin Caron.

Throughout the filming of all three episodes we were able to watch scenes that could easily be suspected as ‘unreal’. Mind Palace. Flashbacks. Dreams.

Additional we got multiple hints at 'going back’ in the form of tweets showing the back of heads as well as revisiting filmsets from TRF. Could all the 'shoe’ tweets also stand for 'going back’?

From the end of TAB it is clear that Sherlock hasn’t found the 'hidden bones’ yet. The trauma of the past lies still hidden somewhere. But young actors have been casted for Sherock and Mycroft. Looks like they will be going back that road.

I think I can remember that TPTB said at some point (rather long ago) that Holmes and Watson facing Moriarty together at the falls would be the right thing to do. (If anyone has a link to that statement it would be highly appreciated)

We had TRF and Sherlock had to face Jim alone on that roof. Four episodes later we still have no believable solution how Sherlock survived that fall.

We had TAB and the Fall again. This time John was finally at Sherlock’s side. But it is in Sherlock’s mind and again he has to brave the fall alone. (I know the fall is a metaphor for something else here - but still ….)

S3 is packed with things that are only very hard to believe as well as equally hard to eplain.

All these points lead me to a rather bold and (I know) quite insane thought. Could it be possible that Sherlock’s story stays a bit longer in his mind (Mind Palace/dream/meditation) … at least till S4 Ep 2 or even 3?

And when Sherlock finally comes back to reality …. will it be around ASIB? The day after he had been druged by Irene? The day of 'Hudders Dress-Anomaly’? The day Sherlock heard for the first time of 'BondAir’? Because immediately afterwards it is Christmas - and the counter on John’s laptop stopped at 1895 - and Christmas comes back in S3 and in TAB …..

If 'Hound' is located prior to 'Scandal’ than this is the case that leads staight to Reichenbach. Could it be TPTB will revisit Reichenbach again - a third time - to show the world how it always should have been?  Sherlock Holmes and John Watson facing Moriarty together  (what- or whoever Moriarty might be). The two of them against the rest of the world?

Sherlock BBC is the story of a detective. Of his way from a great to a good man. Sherlock solves mysteries and problems with his extraordinary mind. We watched him already deduce himself into love in TSOT in brilliantly done scenes and dialogs.

Sherlock Holmes is a very private man. He has been hurt before. He has built massive walls around himself. He shows the world the mask of a sociopath. He wears his Belstaff like an armour. All of this to protect himself.

Is it really so farfetched to consider the possibility that Sherlock tries to deduce and solve the mysteries and problems of his own live - and his falling in love with John - at first in his mind? Before he comes out?

Over decades - since ACD - the story of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson has been told by the famous 'unreliable narrator’. Could it be that this time - with Sherlock BBC - the world will get the true story? Finally told by Sherlock himself? By looking right into his heart and mind and soul? By showing how his brilliant mind works? How his heart and soul expand and grow?

Would TPTB do such a thing? Stay in Sherlock’s mind over the span of multiple episodes? Follow his train of thought … show his evolution … in such a way? I don’t know. But it sounds thrilling to me.

The possibility that this idea is a silly one is indeed rather great. But I also think … it is worth poking a bit.  :)))  

Now, after S4 and two more years, I have the strong feeling that this idea wasn’t that silly and farfetched after all. :)

Is it Canon that John's mom is dead? I swear I read that it was and now I can't find anything. Could you help please? Thank you! :)

Not *confirmed* but there was a deleted scene revealed in the Sherlock Chronicles where John says his Mum is dead. I think most of us consider it canon :)
