I agree on TAB and TSoT, but I have to admit I feel a little smug that TST is rated so badly. Even if EMP turns out to be true, or alibi theory/dream theory/unreliable narrator causes a revision of TST (and delivers us from Mary’s redemption arc), I still don’t really like it. Especially in light of TLD which imo was utterly amazing.
But that’s the great thing. If everyone liked the same things, life would be sooooo boring =)

Ahh, most fandom olds will say S2. After the fall, and then people rewrite from there. PERSONALLY, I say at The Abominable Bride. I feel the show was good up until then, and S4 ruins everything established in S1 to S3 and TAB.
BUT I'm not going to discourage you from watching S4, if only you go into it understanding that some like it and some think it's horrible, and many think it makes no sense to the established narrative. I think everyone SHOULD watch it at least once to understand why many are cynical about it and a possible S5, AND there are some good things in S4, if only minimal.
And reading meta about making sense of S4 is undeniable more interesting than the season itself, LOL. And since you're going into S4 KNOWING it was critically panned, it might actually be more enjoyable because you can laugh at how ridiculous / OOC / nonsensical it was, LOL.

Ahh, no, I had to delete all the eps from my Google Drive because my account got flagged and because I ran out of room to send emails. In hindsight I should have made a whole separate drive with them, ah well. I am good at finding streams online, so it works either way.
BUT I do know you can stream them online... My Google search has brought up new links at WatchSeriesStream (123 Movies seems to have removed the actual episodes, hence me looking for new links for you guys). Ahhhhh, unpopular opinion: mine's 3 and TAB together. Without Season 3, I wouldn't be here, and I wouldn't have been as absorbed into the fandom as I am. It helped me develop my own meta-writing skills, AND helped me cope with a really rough time in my life and understand myself better. AND I was a big fan of villain Mary, and reading her character helped me understand my own situation.
These days, I still think S2 is the best season, but S3 and TAB are my faves :) S4 ruined the shine S3 once had for me. :P
hi steph ! how are you holding up ? If my memory is correct, I think that you told us that one of your favourite episode is the abominable bride. But did you tell us one of your least favourite ? And if not which one (of course) ? Personally, I think it would be the Empty Hearse for me

HANDS DOWN, didn't even have to think about it, The Final Problem. T6T and TLD, while not great episodes, they visually were beautiful and everyone did the best with what they had. TFP, however, I can't fucking watch it without the "John's TAB / Shot in the Head" lens on. The very last time I watched it, I watched it with the goggles on, and it only made sense that way. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WATCH A SHOW LIKE THAT. The whole episode looks like garbage, looks like it was all filmed in one small soundstage on a budget, and just... really not a SHERLOCK episode. LITERALLY put any other character in there and it wouldn't matter. It was silly and nonsensical and it destroyed every character in the series who had main arcs going on. I don't care if there was a "secret plan" or whatever... A season finale should leave you wanting more, not in disbelief and disheartened. The best way to alienate your whole fanbase is to fucking veer completely off the cliff from your original narrative and introduce shit that makes no sense to the world building you made. TFP just topped it ALL off with erasing the whole point of TGG, erasing Molly's character development, turning the smartest character on the show into a whimpering dumbass, and *grits teeth* introduce an X-Men character as your big Shyamalan twist. It was dumb. I've seen YouTubers make half hour Reddit videos with more production and work than that entire episode was.
Anyway. Yeah, it was a disappointment, and what a way to end your series if, in fact, it is the last episode.
