Kissing Sherlock

Have you ever thought about kissing Sherlock Holmes. Really thought of it? How you would have to tilt your head all the way up. He is over 6ft tall. Have you thought about the way his hands would slip around your back and press against you, pulling you into his chest. Your back would arch, matching the curve of his in the opposite direction. His thin lips would slip between yours so easily, so hungrily. Sherlock kisses to make a point. He kisses you to tell you things that he can’t find the words for. The curl of his fingers as he makes a fist in your shirt. He tastes like the tea Mrs. Hudson makes him, sometimes like cigarettes, but mostly the tea. Your hands rest on his chest and shoulders, nose brushing against his in this sort of dance. Sword play. A duel, if you will.

He kisses you more often when on a case. the adrenaline, the serotonin, the high a cases give him make him far more prone to outbursts of affection. He loses himself in the case and occasionally, in you. Maybe he finds you grounding, something to pull him back when he is too high to see the ground. Or maybe you take him higher, get him far enough off the ground to see the whole problem all at once.

Sherlock’s kisses are pulling and all consuming. He is desperate at times and gentle when he needs to be. There is nothing like it in the whole world.

Jealousy~ Sherlock Preferences

Sherlock: 

He lashes out at whoever he is jealous of. Sherlock isn't the best communicator and when he feels someone is trying to take you it shows. Insults and mockeries fly as he rips whoever the perceived offender is to complete shreds. He uses his skills with relentless precision till they are near tears. You hate when he does that. You talk about it once his tantrum is over and assure him that he is the person you love. He is scared that he will lose one of the very few people who makes him truly safe and happy and struggles to figure out how to communicate that. Apologies on all sides are given. 

John:

This man is petty as fuck and we all know it. He would get passive aggressive about it for a while. Saying ridiculous things like “no, I don't know the time dear. Why don't you text your new lover, they might know.” It was infuriating and no matter what you said he would be mad for at least the rest of the day. Time would eventually bring him to his senses though. He would sincerely apologize to you and talk about everything. Your love for each other was stronger than any absurd argument for things like that and it would always end with you happily in each other's arms.

Mycroft:

It is generally pretty hard to make Mycroft jealous. He has faith in your relationship and knows that no other person is going to break it. Though some days his insecurity get to him. The doubt he feels about himself clouds his judgment. Those days he pretends not to care about anything. He lets the ice creep back into his heart and acts as though he couldn't pick you out of a crowd of strangers. It hurts you every time. But after a day or two he comes back to his senses and tries to make it up to you. Though it always hurts you forgive him and reassure him that you aren't going anywhere. 

Greg:

Greg has been hurt before and those injuries don't heal quickly. He tries his best to trust you and not let it get to him but it doesn't always work. When it does get to him his temper gets increasingly short and screaming matches are quite common. Though once it all boils over the cool down time is quick. He will apologize and hold you close. He doesn't want to lose you like he lost his wife. For the next week he buys you coffees and dinners and sends flowers to your office at least once. He makes sure you know he cares about you more than anything. 

Moriarty:

Jim is, in a kind word… protective. The people he gets jealous of generally get the fear of god put into them. He would never do it in front of you but he keeps track of the people who think they can get away with flirting with you. Though it's not like he scares every rando who talks to you. Only the ones who don't listen when you say that you have a boyfriend. But once the offender is out of the way, Jim will remind you exactly why you are with him and not some boring nobody.

Waking up together ~ Sherlock Preferences

Sherlock: 

Waking up with Sherlock isn't really waking up WITH Sherlock. It's more waking up to the sounds of yelling from the kitchen. Once you've run down stairs to see what he's yelling about, finding him trying to make you breakfast. Sherlock is a terrible cook and doesn't know where anything is in the kitchen so it's a complete disaster. The pan he had the eggs in is smoking. The kettle for the tea is whistling loudly and with no signs of stopping. And Sherlock has caught his dressing gown's sleeve on fire. Though once you helped him put out the multiple fires he had started, you sat down together and just had some tea. Every morning with Sherlock is something new, that's one of the many things that make him so special. 

John:

Your favorite part of the day is always waking up with John. the two of you wake up together and just talk. You talk about your dreams the previous night or something you saw on your phone while you were waiting on the other to wake up. On your days off the two of you don't leave your bed till late afternoon because you are preoccupied enjoying eachothers company to actually do anything. It's just so peaceful to curl up with him and talk. 

Mycroft:

There is a routine with Mycroft. He gets up at six o’clock on the dot every morning to run on his treadmill and so on and so forth. He always makes you breakfast. He will come into your room at exactly seven and give you a quick kiss and tell you to get up. Most days you don't want to get up but he always finds a way of getting you up, dressed, and eating your food by seven forty five. Mycroft is simultaneously his happiest and his most irritated in the morning. He loves cooking for you and waking you up, however he is also thinking about what the day has in store. Over breakfast he usually gives you the rundown of his schedule and you do the same. Then it's off to Downing street. Mycroft isn't one for extravagant expressions of love, but every morning you get to see the look in his eyes when he wakes you up and you know he loves you.

Greg:

Every morning Greg makes it impossible to get out of bed. Mainly because he snoozes every alarm about five times, but also because he is so warm and soft. He always pulls you into him and says good morning in the sleepiest and gruffest voice on the planet. It melts your heart every time. He is anything but a morning person so he usually grumbles when you finally make him get up. He is all cuddles and slow kisses in the morning and you love it. 

Moriarty:

In order to wake up with Jim he would have had to actually gone to bed. His brain is constantly moving, running impossible scenarios through a million times until he makes them possible. On the rare occasions that he does actually lay down with you and go to sleep, he normally ends up waking you up at two am to walk through something he might have missed. Jim is a fucking Roller coaster ride of emotions and sleeping patterns. Though, when he wakes you up in the morning, after a long night of his Insomnia keeping him up. He will sit there and read to you a list of all of the things he wanted to talk to you about but couldn't because you were sleeping. He always wishes you were awake with him because he never wants to stop talking to you.

Something you do to annoy them for fun~ Sherlock Preferers

Sherlock:

The most amusing way to annoy Sherlock is to play a note wrong on the violin. You always play a song he knows and will purposefully play the wrong note or play a section out of tune. It is fun to watch his nose wrinkle up and see him wince at each incorrect note. He usually will end up either taking the instrument from you or playing the song after you have finished correctly. It is a way to annoy him without making him mad. 

John:

The best way to annoy John is with the simplest things. Not putting your cup on a coaster is one. You will both on purpose and on accident sometimes not use a coaster. It is amusing to watch him scowl and grumble about it. Sherlock will do it as well and you both laugh about it together. One day you both filled at least a dozen and half cups full of water, tea, and coffee and left them around 221B for John to find.

Mycroft:

It is easy to irritate Mycroft. One of the simplest things that will drive him crazy is if you call him anything but Mycroft. His full name is Alexander Mycroft Chad Holms and you loved to use any variation of that to bother him. You called him Chad, Alex, Myke, Alexander, and of course Mykie. It was highly amusing watching his eyes start to twitch as you called him anything but his preferred name.

Greg:

Greg is not a terribly neat person. His desk is usually in some sort of disarray but he always claims he can find everything. The best way to get under his skin is to organize it just a little. You never actually fully clean it but you will put certain things away so that he just gets annoyed. You mostly do it if you're upset with him over one thing or another. But sometimes it's just because it bothers you.   

Moriarty:

Your favorite way to bother Jim is to hide things from him. Mostly his phone or his keys. It's fun to watch him rush around the house trying to find them and in the end just hold it out to him. Usually he will then chase you around the house till he finally catches you. Then you usually make him kiss you before finally giving them up and letting him leave. It bothers him when he can't find them but the chasing is always amusing.

Coming out to them ~ Sherlock Preferences

Sherlock: 

When you came out to Sherlock he was very Nonchalant about it. He knew from the beginning. It wasn’t really like you were trying to hide it anyway. He just nodded and added a little, “Was I supposed to not know that?” Before giving you that smile he does when he’s right and feels like being a bit of a prick about it. In all honesty, it was nice to know that nothing would change, he loved you no matter what. 

John:

John was so glad you told him. He loved that you had learned more about yourself and felt comfortable enough to tell him. He expressed his support repeatedly and offered to cook you your favorite meal to celebrate the occasion. The two of you ate the dinner John had made and watched some silly romantic comedies. He made it feel so easy, and you loved him more for it.

Mycroft:

Much like his brother, Mycroft knew. However, he was more gentle about it. When you came out to him he just smiled and listened to everything you had to say. He didn't pry about anything and assured you that your relationship was not altered in the slightest. He kissed you while telling you how absolutely brilliant you were and took you to a nice dinner. Mycroft would use any excuse to justify going to a nice dinner with you. He loved celebrating you for everything you were.

Greg:

A little out of date is Greg’s signature state of being. He understood most of what you were talking about but some of the labels went over his head. He listened and asked questions but was absolutely understanding and supportive. He adores you, YOU, everything that you are or ever will be. While he took a second to understand everything, once he did he was just more in love. He actually bought you a little flag to put on your desk.

Moriarty:

Jim Moriarty honestly didn’t care. When you had worked up the courage to tell him, he just shrugged. The two of you were having dinner and you danced around the subject almost all evening. Once you managed to actually say the words he just nodded and shrugged a bit. He started talking  about a plan he had instead. You were upset and pressed him for more of a reaction. He told you that he loved you and that it changed nothing so he didn’t feel like making a big deal about it. He did however take you to a pride event later that week so you could celebrate.

Something you do that they love~ Sherlock Preferences

Sherlock:

He loves your deductions. He found it annoying when most other people tried to deduce things about others but you were good at it. You could read people as well as him and Mycroft. You noticed things that he didn't see sometimes and he was impressed when you did. You weren't quite up there with him but you definitely weren't a goldfish. He loved your brain and how it worked. You never seemed to stop amazing him.  

John:

Ice Skating. He loved to watch you ice skate. He wasn't very good at it himself but he loved to watch you glide across the ice. You looked so graceful and calm as you spun and turned. In the winter you both would go to the rink. John would sit in the stands and sip tea as you spun around. When you got tired you would slide up to the side and he would meet you. He loved to watch your hips as they moved. He thought you looked like royalty.

Mycroft:

Mycroft is a bit of a control freak, it wasn't bad in your relationship but at work it came out full force. However, he loved to watch you take charge of a room at work. He loved to watch you walk into a room of yelling dignitaries and calm the room. Once you walked in anyone could see that you were the clear leader. Mycroft admired this quality. He was always very proud to see you take command of the situation and steer everyone back on track. 

Greg:

More than anything in the world Greg loved to make you laugh. It was one of the first things he fell in love with about you. Your laugh was infectious. He adored to see your eyes light up and your smile spread across your lips. It warmed his heart to see the joy on your face. Nothing could top that.  

Moriarty:

Jim loved it whenever you were in combat. You were a fighting machine. Taking down people left and rights. He loved the sheer power your body seemed to wield.  He loved how unstoppable you were and how he knew you could probably take him down in hand to hand combat. He was the brains and you were the muscle. The perfect team.

What you do that makes them mad ~ Sherlock Preferences

Sherlock:

Sherlock hated it when you “cleaned up” all of his stuff. You would come home from the store and he would be running like a mad man through the flat yelling about one thing or another. As soon as he saw you he always stopped and demanded to know where you had put things. He always knew where everything was but once you cleaned he had no idea where anything was. He would freak out for a while till you found it or him. He once tore the flat apart because he couldn't find a butter knife. One of the only places he had neglected to look was the silverware Drawer.

John:

You’re not a drunk, but sometimes you would drink a little too much. John hated it. You would drink too much at some bar with your friends and they would always have to call him to come get you. It aggravated him to see you so hammered that you could walk up the stairs to the front door alone. He didn't mind that he had to take care of you; he minded that you would be carless. He didn't want you to get hurt and when you got too drunk you were an easy target for anything. He always scolded you in the morning. 

Mycroft:

Mycroft despised your tendency to be late. Where he would sometimes miss a dinner, you would show up 10 or 15 minutes late, consistently. He had even started telling you that all your plans were 20 minutes before then were scheduled so that you would be one time. He especially got mad about it for events like state dinners. But the time he really Infuriated him was when you showed up 14 minutes late to tea with the queen. She had not minded but when you got home Mycroft lost it at you. You both worked it out though, but you still show up late to things. 

Greg:

There is a saying that “men never act for directions” this is not always true. In some cases it's the opposite, like with you and Greg. You always insisted on driving whenever you guys were heading out of the city, however you always got lost. You missed turns or took the wrong turn and always argued with Greg about whether or not you were lost. Even with GPS on your phone you still refused to turn it on or let Greg drive. The two of you would fight until finally you couldn't logically Deny the fact that you were lost. Then you would finally let Greg drive while you sat in the passenger seat rather irritated and embraced. 

Moriarty:

Jim has never liked it when you had to seduce people while out on assignment. He hated the idea of you flirting with other people and he especially hated it when you actually had to sleep with them. He always snapped at you and threatened to kill those people. You would remind him that if he killed those people they wouldn't have valuable assets in multiple countries' governments. He would still be upset with you though. And more often than not when Jim didn't have use of those people any more they had very tragic “Accidents”.

What they do that makes you mad~ Sherlock Preferences

Sherlock:

You hate it whenever Sherlocks smokes. You don't care that it helps him think or calms him down. It is going to kill him and you hate that. Sherlock may think he is immortal but you know he isn't. You just wish you could convince him. You have been known to simply throw away his secret stash of cigarettes whenever you find them. He hates it when you do that but you don't care. You would rather have him upset then dead.

John:

You have a love hate relationship with John and his work with Sherlock. You love their friendship and helping them solve cases. What you didn't love was when John put himself in harms way. You knew he tried to stay out of trouble but you hate how many times he has come so close to dying. You don't ever want to live without him but all of London's criminals seem determined to take him from you. The two of you have been known to get into screaming matches along these lines:

“You could have died, John!”

“I was trying to help!”

“I don’t care what you were trying to do! I have told you a thousand times. When someone starts shooting fucking RUN!”

Mycroft:

As with Sherlock you hated it whenever Mycroft smoked. However, he was wise and hid it from you well. But what really upset you was when he missed dates because of work. You would have planned dinners months in advance. He would even do the booking. But somehow he would get caught up at work reschedule or in extreme cases stand you up entirely. More than once he had left you sitting alone at the most expensive and high class restaurants in London. You often ordered, ate, and then left without him. He always felt bad about it but that didn't matter. He had stood you up, so you would often taunt him with your leftovers. 

Greg:

It might be stupid but you got upset with Greg over domestic things all the time. He would forget to take out the trash, or wash the dishes. He constantly left laundry in the washing machine after forgetting that he had put it in there. It drove you up a wall. Honestly you felt like he was a teenager some times. You would have to remind him to do things constantly. He wasn't a fan of your “nagging” either but it was the only way to get him to do things sometimes. 

Moriarty:

One of the most aggravating things that Jim does is leave without telling you. Some days you will come home and there is just a note on the kitchen counter.

He could be gone for months at a time. Sometimes with absolutely no contact. It drove you crazy with worry and made you absolutely Livid. You were always happy when he came home but that didn't stop you from yelling at him. He had taken you buying you things in whatever country he had been in to try to ease your anger but it did little to nothing to calm your Wrath.
