1. what would completely break your character?

Other than moving and transferring schools for a guy who’s just gonna dump her? Talia wouldn’t know what to do if she lost her voice in any permanent way. When all else fails, she knows she can ask for help, or sing her li’l feelings out, or just scream (into a pillow or outside where no one will bother her). If something happened to her vocal chords and she had to re-learn communication, she would not do well for a long time.

7. how does your character feel about sex?

In a lot of ways, Mitch was a shitty boyfriend, but he wasn’t bad in bed, and Talia just loves being physically touched/near people, so sex is something she really misses. To her, it’s the highest form of intimacy, but it’s also something she totally gets why people would be casual about. She’s just never had casual sex before, so she wouldn’t really know how.

14. how does the image your character tries to project differ from the image they actually project?

Honestly, and this is gonna sound kinda bad, Talia does play dumb/hopeless. When she’s frustrated or hurt, the thing she wants most is for someone else to tell her how to fix it so she doesn’t have to worry about making things worse for herself. In reality, she’s very smart, and very capable of figuring things out on her own, but if she can get someone else to do it for her, it’s likely that she’ll try, and a lot of the time, it makes her come off as more clueless than she actually is.

“You’ll be fine. I promise. I’ll be right there beside you, the whole time. I’ll even hold your hand if you want me to.” Elly couldn’t help but fuss over his bow tie. He looked so awkward in a tuxedo, but there was still a large part of her that found it devilishly handsome. “For the record,” she began, fixing his sleeves and fastening cuffs for him, “I much prefer you in the hoodie and jeans. I think you wear it better. And I love being with you when you’re most comfortable. But thank you, for putting on this silly penguin suit and going to my brother’s wedding with me.” 

Elly kissed his cheek and left him to finish dressing herself, but she felt his hands on her back as he expertly tightened the corset, something she knew he’d learned from protecting her sister. She tried to not think about that part, but she liked feeling his touch as her dress moved snugly into place. As she turned, she smiled up at him. “You’re a handsome devil, Donovan Eames. Always going to get me in trouble.”

To answer the second part first, I don’t really have any ships that I dislike. If I disliked them, then really I wouldn’t be writing for them. 

But my favorite canon ship of all time will always be Helen and Ethan with @herhighnessrps. I could go on and on and on about how much I love them but I’ll spare you that. Long story short, they were badass and beautiful.

“Well, seeing as I’ve run away from my husband and there’s not a man for miles, no one anytime soon. Although, if it were possible...now this is silly, of course just a fantasy, but if it were possible...you, Carmen. I’d marry you.”

“Well, yes, but innocently! Innocently, Rach, I promise! You asked me like ten minutes ago how you looked and I wasn’t really paying attention so when you stood up I needed to verify my answer. That is all. And you look great! Objectively, I mean. Please don’t make your husband beat me up. Pun intended. Are you gonna go get that slide with the beets or am I gonna have to shove my knee into my mouth along with my foot?”

“What? No. Definitely not. Steven, I mean, come on. She’s Andie. She’s my best friend. I mean, you’re my best friend. And so is Evie. And Willa, and okay so I have a lot of best friends but point is I don’t date best friends. Not that I’d want to date her even if she wasn’t my best friend. Not that there’s anything wrong with her! I mean, she’s amazing and talented and hilarious and beautiful and she, like, gets me, or whatever....oh shit. Oh, no no no no no. Oh God, Steven, I like Andie.”
