Scenes from Shibden Hall, from our visit last week. I haven't been here since I was a child, I still love the sloping beams, giant creaking floorboards and dark wood-panelled rooms. So many corners had me imagining Anne Lister and Ann Walker spending time here: a tiny table for two in the top bedroom, a fireside seat in the dining room, the hidden library in the tower, the secret passageway between attic rooms 🤎
