hey (this is @himrings from main lmao) but in fin-galad theory is finduilas, like, pulling a mulan on the noldor (i.e. cross dressing and having a semi fake identity in order to be taken seriously) or is it more like the language surrounding kingship is masculine but finduilas is still finduilas and everyone knows or something else entirely? sorry if you’ve answered this elsewhere and i haven’t seen the post! :) hope you have a great day/night

I saw it as more like her pulling a Mulan!! I hadn’t thought of it in exactly that way but lmao yeah that’s what happensAlthough the way I see it, some people have an inkling that Gil-galad isn’t exactly what he seems… he’s a sweet guy though, even if he’s a little short and gracious in a different way from previous High Kings, so nobody really minds. And “Gil-galad is a butch lesbian” is a meme in the Havens at some point
