One of my shift managers is named Martin. I do not know very much about Martin…
All I know is that he has trained a few of the employees and they have all moved on to become great baristas, except for one… whose name is Bill, and whenever I try to ask about who this “Bill” is, Martin looks off into the distance and says, “we mustn’t talk about Bill”
The only other thing I know about Martin is that once when I saw him leave, he was wearing a black tank top with a large backpack, when he had time to change I have no idea.
One day Martin… I will unlock these secrets.

Today we got a new shift manager who transferred from another store.
I asked him if he could help me fill up the mop bucket because I couldn’t get the nozzle to work. So I covered his shift while he went to take a look at it. He came back and told me if was fixed and that I could go get it after I finished helping the customer. When I did go back to get it, he had left the water running and almost flooded the entire back room.
That there, is the look of a defeated man.
