I ship ShikaIno in such a brotp way its not even funny... here's a head canon:

Shikamaru decides that Temari is his future, and in that being the case, he chooses to create a ring rather than "buy" one. He doesn't even have to ask Ino for help, she figured it out long ago that this was in the making. Ino goes with Shikamaru to find the perfect stones for the ring.

WHY NOT THOUGH?! Seriously why not though? I don't hate Ino, I could never hate Ino. Ever. I brotp them so hard that my ShikaIno brotp is all mashed together with my TemaIno brotp. ALSO ShikaKanku brotp is prime. Here's another head canon:

Shikamaru gets close extremely close to Kankuro, being that he is marrying his sister and all. Though Choji is his best man, they decide to make a title for Kankuro as his "second" ('right hand man' in the english language. Also if you have ever seen Grease, you will know what I'm talking about). That being said Temari has Matsuri as her Maid of Honor and Ino is her "second". Why Ino you ask? She means the world to Shikamaru, and for Temari, that is one of the most important things to her. Ino helped care for him when Temari herself wasn't able to be there. She gave him advice and helped him out of funks he had in the mean time. Ino and Temari got close because of their mutual love for Shikamaru, and wanting the best for him. That is a sacred bond all on its own.

CAN WE ALL IMAGINE HOW LOVELY THIS WOULD BE TO SEE?!
