SHINee React to: Their Boyfriend’s New Braces

Onew / Jinki

Jinki would love your new braces so much! He would keep telling you how handsome you looked and he would keep giving you cute little kisses to your lips because he knows how much your mouth hurts from getting the braces put on. Jinki wants you to feel good about them instead of embarrassed so he would compliment them as much as possible and take millions of photos with you and your braces.

Jonghyun

Oh my god this man treasures you. Jonghyun is so in love with you he wouldn't know what to do with himself so when you came home from the orthodontist with braces on, he would be so much more in love. He would do any and everything to make sure you were happy with them and make sure you knew he loves them. Jonghyun would also try to make sure you weren't in any pain so he would put a little but of ice on your cheeks. 

"You look so cute with these, aww. Can I see your smile?"

Key / Kibum

Kibum would be so shy when he saw you smile with your newly put on braces. Like Kibum is usually always a little bit shy around you because he loves you and is scared he'll end up embarrassing himself in front of you so he would hide his cute little face when he complimented your bright blue braces. He would peek out of his fingers at you and giggle a little bit before just giving you a hug because of the embarrassment.

Minho

The most hyped man in the whole world. Minho would hop up and down, clapping in excitement when you showed him the braces you had gotten put on earlier in the day before giving you the biggest smooch ever. 

"Look at my handsome boyfriend! Oooooh, I'm so lucky to have you! I bet you're the only person in the whole world who can make braces look that good, Y/N. Model for me, I need photos."

Taemin

Taemin is literally a mix of all of them; He would hype you up but then he would get really shy and embarrassed from being so excited about your braces yet he would keep telling you how good they looked decorating your teeth. He would be a whole ass mix of emotions and words towards you. He would think they looked extremely cute but extremely painful so he would be really nervous to kiss you and he would avoid eating certain foods because he knows you can't eat certain ones. 

“Oh my gosh, I wanna kiss you and comfort you but I don’t wanna hurt you and I’m conFLICTED HELP.”

SHINEE REACT: To another idol confessing to you at an award show

 Anonymous said to kpopgroupsreact: Hello! Can you do SHINee reacting to another idol writing a really good love song(like it's undeniably beautiful) about their secret s/o & debuting it live for them at an award show in front of everyone & basically putting their s/o on the spot. How would they react? Even worse if everyone is actually encouraging the s/o to accept their feelings & say yes. Thanks in advanced. I hope this is ok!

Ohhhh, this is beyond OK this is so cute omg...my heart! Honestly, this was so hard to do but also really fun. I hope you like it!

And to make you all cry a little bit because we must let all the emotions flow:

Onew: I feel like Onew is the calm exterior type. He speaks through his eyes and his smiles. While he’s listening to the other idol singing the song he can’t help but think of you and when the dedication is declared to you he would turn to look for your reaction, trying to hide his discomfort and stuffing the fears he had that it had been you to begin with. He’d want to say something right away but he wanted to let you handle the situation because in all honesty, he was just as curious as the crowd as to what you thought even though he knew you were currently his girlfriend.

When you give him a panicked look begging for help he wouldn’t hesitate any longer to walk over to the where the MC’s were and take over the mic.

“I have an announcement to make.”

“Y/N and I are currently in a relationship. So please, I’d like for everyone to stop pressuring her to accept. She’s mine. I want that to be respected. I’m sorry for not letting everyone know before, but we were waiting for the right time.”

It was one of the hardest things he had ever had to do, but he didn’t regret it for a second when he saw you run over to him backstage with a happy and relieved smile.

Jonghyun: He’d be pissed off in the way that Jonghyun gets pissed off. Pretty soon he would have everyone focused and gathered around him as he openly displays his displeasure with the whole situation telling everyone to be quiet and revealing that you and he were dating. It would be hard to get him to calm down.

“What do you mean calm down, she’s my girlfriend!”

That is until you storm off because of his childish behaviour. You weren’t mad at what he said, it was just the way he said it that ticked you off.

“Wait, Y/N! Where are you going?”

Minho: If there is one thing Minho absolutely cannot stand, it’s losing. And he felt like he had lost when the other idol addressed you with the song. He would be so mad that he would storm on upstage and knock the mic out of the idols’ hands.

Things would get a little heated and tense so you would have to rush up the stage to stop him.

When the crowd starts protesting and a confused uproar spreads Minho would address them. “Are you going to tell them or should I? This crossed the line, because she’s my-” and you would try to shut him up but he would swat your hand away. 

“MY girlfriend.”

Even after the incident Minho would still be angry AF, and the only way he would ever move on is if he composed an even better song and sang it for you at the next awards show. Competitive Minho, is competitive.

Key: Key has his own way of dealing with things. He had been the MC for the awards show and when the idol confessed that the song was for you and the audience was supporting him he’d try his best not to lose it.

He did not just say Y/N’s name...

“OH so sorry folks, there’s not enough time we have to move on.” would cue the special effects and camera crew to move ahead with the program.

Sorry not sorry.

Taemin: He wouldn’t be able to look at you. He had wondered why the song reminded him of you, and when the idol revealed your name as the person he dedicated the composition to Taemin’s heart would sink and his stomach would churn. It wasn’t that he didn’t have confidence in you but the song was so beautiful and moving, and the audience only added onto the pressure and he wasn’t confident in himself anymore.

Even when you declined the other idol’s confession politely, despite an uproar of protests from the audience he wouldn’t feel completely better. Worse in fact, knowing that you had to step up and take everything head on even though he was there he couldn’t do anything for you.

SHINEE REACT: To their girlfriend kicking them in her sleep while sleep talking

Onew: He hears your voice mumbling something and he feels your knee digging into his side. Sighing, he’d get up and adjust you so that you were off of him -trying to be gentle but waking you up while getting your arms untangled.

Y/N: “Oppa! Why did you wake me it’s like two in the morning!”

You start complaining and whining because you’re always grumpy if woken up.

“You-...oh my god.”

“You realise you woke me up first right?”

Y/N: “You didn’t have to be so rough!”

Is 200% done with you right now, and too sleepy to argue any further.

Aish...this girl.

Jonghyun: He would be the type to unconsciously move you, causing you to wake. He would have already fallen back asleep and when you try to wake him up and ask why he had woken you up he would have completely forgotten that it was because you had been kicking him in your sleep.

“Hmmm? Did I wake you up?”

Minho: He’d wake up to your little kicks and push you over on your side gently, but as soon as he laid back down you had turned over and began kicking him again.

“Y/N-ah...” he’d sigh, grabbing hold of your legs making you wake up.

Key: Is completely not sorry about waking you up. In fact, he had tossed you to the other side of the bed on purpose. You had woken him up first after all, and the man needs his sleep. (To be fair, he had put up with your kicking and sleep talking for a good solid two hours).

Taemin: He had put up with your constant poking elbows and knee kicks, as well as your soft conversations in your sleep. In his sleepy state though he had pushed you away at last, causing you to wake up.

When you try shaking him to ask why he woke you up he’d be a little confused because he had just gotten comfortable and ready to fall back asleep.

Mid-way in explaining himself he would fall back asleep too tired to continue.

SHINEE REACT: To trying out your amazing cooking/baking

YUMMY :D This made me so hungry.

Scene: You, being an excellent cook/baker, decided to finally make something for your boyfriend to eat.

Onew: You decided to make fried chicken for Onew because he had been working so hard lately, yet he still made a huge effort to give you enough time each day -regardless of how tired he was. 

He wouldn’t hesitate to dive right in. This is Onew we’re talking about. He lives to eat.

“It already smells amazing jagi.”

His expectations weren’t crazy high but the burst of flavour in his mouth was overwhelming and it would be clear on his face how much he enjoyed it.

That chicken would be done in five minutes tops.

Onew eating is art itself. 

Jonghyun: You decided to surprise him at the set with a homemade dish. 

“For me? You made this for me? YOU made this?” he would be so happy and surprised at the same time since you had never made anything for him before.

He wouldn’t hesitate to dive right in.

“You’re the best jagiya, please cook for me more often.”

Minho: The boys were working extra hard and to cheer them on you had sent them a little something. 

When their manager handed Minho the package saying you had sent them some food he would be really surprised because you had never made anything for him before. He would dive right in just like Onew though.

NOM NOM

This is actually pretty good...

“You guys are so lucky my girlfriend is such a great cook.”

Ends up eating everyone’s share.

Key: You had made something yourself for the first time and left it on the table and Key being curious Key decided to have a taste (completely unaware that YOU had made it).

“OMG Y/N-ah where did you buy this from it’s amazing!”

When you tell him you made it he wouldn’t believe you easily. “You’re saying you made this? You?” Key had always assumed that you just didn’t know how to cook before this.

He’d probably ask you to make more for him and when you do and send it to the shooting venue there’s no doubt the other guys would wolf it down just because he had been bragging about how skilled you were.

“Hajimaaa! She made this for me!”

Taemin: You two held a barbecue party outside but Taemin didn’t expect you to be cooking anything because you never had before -at least not for him. So when you took over preparing the food he was slightly nervous.

Should I pretend to like it even if it isn’t good?

Oh...what’s this?

Piles more food on his plate.

“Jagiya...”

“I feel like I’m flying.”

SHINEE REACT: To you fainting on stage

Scene: You had a fever but being stubborn you decided to perform on stage with your group anyway. The hot lights and intense choreography caused your head to spin and halfway through the performance you fainted.

Onew: When you fell his heart would have skipped a beat and he’d be flooded with worry. He had suspected something was wrong from the start and you fainting only confirmed his suspicions. He’d be waiting beside you in the waiting room as the medics hooked you up to an IV and informed him that you fainted due to overworking yourself while you had a fever.

When you gained consciousness and the medics left he’d draw closer to you, glad you were alright but also pissed you had done something so stupid. 

“Y/N-ah...”

“Don’t you dare do something stupid like this again do you hear me?”

Jonghyun: He would have been backstage cooling off after his performance, watching your group perform on the monitor. He had only turned away from the screen for a moment when everyone gasped. When he found out you had fainted he would rush to where the medics were treating you. He’d be mind boggled when he found out you had fainted because you had a fever.

“Y/N...I know how seriously you take your job but performing with such a high fever? Are you insane?”

Minho: He’d see you collapse on stage and his heart would nearly jump out his throat. Earlier he had asked you if you were alright because you seemed a little feverish but he had shrugged it off as nerves before your performance.

Regret would sweep him as he watched the medic rush you to the waiting room to hook you up to an IV.

He’d even shed tears because he’d think it was his fault for not being able to stop you.

I shouldn’t have listened to her. I should have stopped her.

When you gained consciousness he’d be scolding you for lying to him and for being so stubborn but it was all out of love and worry for your safety and well-being.

Key: He would have been shocked to see you faint on stage mid performance and would rush backstage to see the medics surrounding you. When he found out you had performed with a fever he would be furious you lied and said you were fine when he had asked you earlier.

“Y/N don’t lie to me and say you’re fine!”

Taemin: He saw you faint and fall and his breath hitched in his throat. He’d be shaky and his breathing would be uneven as numerous emotions flooded him. Mad at you for hiding it, worried about you, furious at himself for not noticing earlier.

When you awoke later he’d be right by your side looking conflicted.

“How are you feeling now?” He’d calm himself down enough to not yell at you for being so careless with yourself.

SHINEE REACT: When you’re angry and refuse to sleep in the same room as them

Scene: He did something stupid, and you having had a bad day already made things worse. Angry with him you refused to sleep together and took the couch giving him the silent treatment.

Onew: Knows you can’t stay mad at him for long so he wouldn’t be too worried but he’d try speeding up the process with some aegyo.

“Y/N-ah! It’s cold, let’s cuddle!”

Jonghyun: Would turn up the air conditioning and keep all the blankets in the bedroom. It was already a cold night and even though you had turned the AC off it was still freezing cold.

Let’s see how long she can hold out in the cold. (This little devil.)

Minho: Still doesn’t understand why you aren’t in bed with him already.

“Wait...are you angry or something?”

Key: Can’t really believe you just said you were sleeping outside. He doesn’t like sleeping without you beside him so he was obviously a little hurt but he knows you well so he’d just quietly go to the bedroom and wait.

Later when you thought he was asleep you’d creep back into the room only to find him waiting for you. Without a word he’d wave you over and the argument would have been forgotten because you would be happily asleep in his arms.

Taemin: He thought he’d be fine with just letting you cool off but after a few hours he was starting to worry about how serious this was since you hadn’t even come into the room to get a pillow or some blankets. Tired, he’d sleepily make his way out into the living room where he’d find you curled up on the couch still awake but cold and uncomfortable.

“You are so stubborn. Come on, it’s cold out here.” he would sigh and drag you back into the room with him.

Jonghyun:

Minho:

Mmhn. Yas. I feel it!
