A bit more on requests and answers
In light of recent happenings in the yandere part of tumblr, in particular the mess with @fangdokja-anon, I feel the need to go over a few policies from by blog. And also because of a few of the asks that I've been getting as of late.
This is the definition of a yandere from the Cambridge dictionary. While I do write some of the characters as being jerkasses from the beginning, or being "kind" in their own way even later on, what they all have in common are possessive/obsessive tendencies for the MC, or in the case of my blog, the reader. That is to say, there is no healthy relationship present, and thus you don't get the things that come with a healthy relationship.
Such a relationship ain't nice and cuddly, it isn't something to be yearned for in real life or idealised. It is a fantasy to be played with, for the fascination, the horror or whatever else, and then to be packed away when real life comes knocking.
Since this is a yandere blog, dark themes are discussed and handled as it is. I am willing to write about other sensitve topics like imperialism, all the stuff that entails and a long list of human woes, just don't expect me to glorify them. Since I write a lot of stuff in historical settings, periode typical attitudes shall appear. A notice on that will be left at the top of the post that it concerns.
On principal, I'm not against minors interacting with my blog. That is actually one of the main reasons that I'm reluctant to write nsfw stuff that go in a sexual direction. The more dark works that I let out in the wild usual have an adult content thingy on them, and reader's disgression is advised. When I get new followers, I mostly give them a cursory glance to make sure they are not porn bots.
It is not that easy to do the whole MDI for me since it is so easy to lie about your age here. And I also come from a culture where more bloody stuff is discussed with children (case to point - Struwwelpeter and the original versions of many fairytales) so I have a different view on what is too much to handle for the youngsters.
Since age restrictions are not the same from nation to nation, I've decided to have most of my stuff be ok for 16 and above. For those younger, I'll decide on a case by case basis if they are mature and have enough common sense (don't know what else to label it) to not warrent a block.
Generally, I try to write the reader-insert as gender neutral or female if I have to elude to the sexuality. When it comes to same-sex relationships, I prefer to write w/w, but I'll also write m/m if asked to.
When it comes to the race of the insert, it is either ambigious or an avatar of a same-ish nationality as the yandere, unless otherwise requested/mentioned. Also very willing to write POC, though it would be favourable to give more details if the setting is historical or outside the US. Believe or not, the US was less racist compared to many European countries back in the day, since there were many more nuances to the contempary system of discrimination. And even that tended to fluctuate.
I do try my best to not romantise yanderes in my works - if I do please politely point it out. I am also very much inclined to sort out asks that I deem as normalising/romantising yandere behaviour. If somebody still, even after this notice, thinks that abuse and the such are condoned here, then I strongly suggest they first write a letter to Hollywood. Movies like "The Notebook" have done more to normalise distrubing and abusive behaviours in relationships than little old me ever has.
