So I’m trying to figure out Shinobu and Kanae’s ages w/ the timeline and here’s what I got.

-Shinobu has been a pillar for at least two years, as shown in the Gaiden. Probably three as she talks casually with Giyuu and knows him well enough to say he’s “changed” somewhat

-So that means she would have started being a pillar at around 15-16 (she’s baby)

-Kanao is two years younger than Shinobu. And she’s very small when the sisters first adopt her. I’m guessing around 9-10 yrs old. Making Shinobu 11-12 (BABY).

-Kanao looks older at Kanaes funeral, Shinobu looks more or less the same. I think this is at most two years after they first find Kanao. Making Kanao 11-12 and Shinobu 14-15.

-this also makes sense bc they’d have to replace Kanaes pillar position quickly after her death. So Shinobu would be very close to that skill-level and would take the spot.

-Kanae, judging by her height in comparison to Shinobu, and if she became a pillar around the same age as Shinobu, she died at age 15-17. So she’s 3-5 years older than Shinobu.

-If Kanae was still alive she’d be Giyuu’s age (21)
