Hihi! I found these dice at my local game store but couldn't figure out what they are! They look kinda like the HD Blue Aurora dice but I don't believe that has glitter, and it's too transparent to match perfectly. I also thought it might have been the HD Jester's Gambit, but the greens don't match in any of the pictures I've seen and also don't seem to be as glittery as what I've got here. If it helps, the set came with a single transparent purplish-pinkish d20, probably a bonus die of some sort? I've been trying to ID this set myself with no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Those look like Sirius Dice’s “Northern Lights”, which I believe is a Sirius Dice exclusive (they primarily resell HDDice). They always package their sets with an extra mismatched d20, and the picture on their website shows a die similar to what you’ve described! Did they come in a plastic tube like this?

Heya! So I just wanted to say that thanks to your answer regarding Nic and Luc's QPR, I managed to rediscover the term and realize that's what I wanted with my long-time best friend/crush/squish. One of my mutuals reblogged your Lucifer the rabbit post which was making the rounds, and as an owner of a black-furred bunny myself I felt an immediatee connection with the story and decided to check out OP's blog. And I found fantasy biology, informative breed posts, and overall a blog I never would go out of my way to usually find under normal circumstances but ended up loving anyways. And now here I am!

Random question: what's your favorite thing about pixel art/making pixel art?

I love how crisp it is, and I love drawing line art!

Moreover, I have this mental image that drawing pixel art is kind of like hunting for good books in the library of babel (from the short story of the same name).

That is, given a set of parameters (in this case, small dimensions and a limited palette), there are a comprehensibly finite amount of possible outcomes.. and I like fiddling around looking for what I consider pleasing shapes and arrangements of things. It kind of feels like a game or quest for me ^^

Maybe it’s a similar logic to people who like writing Senryu (e.g. Haiku) poetry?

Why do you all like pixel art?
