good god all the fighting amongst shippers is so weird. it’s not like any of these people are ever going to convince the other side that they are right. and even if they do… it has absolutely no effect on reality. what is the POINT
I think I've been asking myself that question ever since I got here.
I think many have forgotten or preferred to forget that they are talking about real people, real relationships that they are not part of but over time it has become almost a competition? It reminds me of the fan wars we see on Twitter for example, between ARMYs and Kpoppies in general.
Many shippers believe that the ship they support is real, don't they? Some just fantasise that it is, which is basically the whole point of ships. Others don't share the concept of ships but genuinely believe that two people, celebrities, are a couple. But no one will convince the other that their ship is real or not. You believe what you believe or what you want to believe and that's it. That's your problem. Or that shouldn't be a problem. The problem here is that for many people believing that a ship is real or whatever they want to believe means that you have to hate other members, you have to be disrespectful. Annoying. That's what I personally hate about all this.
I don't care if someone believes tkk is real, I'm annoyed that by believing that they think they HAVE to hate Jimin.
And it shouldn't be like that because as you said, what we believe or not, doesn't affect reality.
It's amazing how something so simple ended up being so difficult for the ship community to understand.
