and i have no clue what my kid’s concept of normal will be, but i sure the fuck hope she isn’t as boring and afraid of the dark as some of you “normal” motherfuckers. one day, whether she reads smutty, abusive fanfiction or not, she will fall in love with an asshole, she will be hurt, and the world will shit on her, because that is how the world works. And then she will call her mother, cry to her friends, listen to angry music, draw guro, write beautifully disturbing stories for catharsis, read happy stories for relief, gain 20 lbs eating ice cream, shave her head, join Americorps and help the starving in Africa, or whatever it is she might do to make herself whole and try again, but with new knowledge that she could have only acquired through experience: NOT fanfiction.
Let people on the internet do as they do, and if it puzzles you to the point where you have to attack it, LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE, because at that point, you are contributing to one of the basest of human behaviors: to fear that which is different, or that which you don’t understand. Although I reckon most of you are like this because you subconsciously have a desire to feel like you’re better than somebody in some small way.
