“I want to know why you stayed.”
“I have sought to escape difficult situations in the past,” Spock said. He feel the need to go into any further detail than that. It would suffice to conclude, “I do not which to escape this one.”

@shipwhisperer // Scotty ;; continued from here.
Data quickly scanned their surroundings. Emergency systems had kicked on, but he was yet unaware if they were functioning for the entire ship. The turbo-lift, at the very least, was staying put for the time being.
Manual override. “Yes, Sir,” Data confirmed. “They are located externally on the lift’s top side.” Data glanced toward the ceiling and knitted his brows together as he considered various courses of action. “It is possible, however, that even the manual override will fail if power to the ship’s main computers is down.”
Data moved to a panel on the wall and entered his access code. The screen that booted up was a simple interface that gave limited choices. He frowned. “I am attempting to reroute information from the security panel,” he said as he continued. “I am having difficulties. It seems the entire ship may be running on auxiliary power.”
He turned toward Captain Scott. “This may take some time.”
@shipwhisperer Continued from here:
“Mister Scott,” Chapel said, firmly. “It’s not a bother to admit when something’s wrong. You shouldn’t have to suffer even when it’s *not* interfering with your daily life. We’re all here for each other. No one has to deal with anything alone, okay?”
❛ You know I’m here for you, right? ❜ [For Reno. I HC that they were in the same Academy year together so have known each other since then. Was thinking this could be based after she lost the Hiawatha. If that's not okay, lmk :) ]
Reno’s eyes crinkled. It wasn’t quite a smile, but it was as close as she could get when it came to this topic. “I know. Just don’t get too sentimental on me, all right? Don’t know if I could take it.”
🎯
It’s not super creative, but a big headcanon of mine is that Data’s emotion chip will shut down if he is overstimulated. This came from several non-canon things I have read, but also from the scene in Generations when he laughs too much and basically shuts down. I imagine he and Geordie installed a sort of safety net so the chip would turn off before anything detrimental happened to Data. I also imagine this would be very disturbing if he was showing intense emotion and suddenly...nothing.
Send a 🎯 to learn a random headcanon I have for my muse
I want to help you become noticed as a living, sentient being; not just a machine as so many others see ye.
“Thank you, Captain Scott. I believe we have begun to do work in that area, however many remain skeptical that synthetic lifeforms are in fact ‘living’. Your confidence in me is much appreciated. Your expertise and opinions - especially in the field of technology - are highly respected in Starfleet. I believe I am flattered, Sir.”

⚓️ — sailing
Pavel doesn’t have any experience with sailing. Seriously, like at most maybe he’s been a boat maybe once or twice. No skills here. He finds sailing interesting, though, especially in relation to older forms of navigation. He’s read about it. He likes bodies of water but he’s never had the chance to learn sailing.
Unloved (Tavra)
A particularly difficult time for Tavra was right after Brea was born. With Brea requiring a lot of attention from both their mother and everyone else around her, and Seladon starting her maudra training, Tavra felt terribly lonely all of a sudden.
All her requests for attention were promptly dismissed as it seemed everyone around her was too busy for her. Not even her typical misdemeanors were met with any reaction, and as still a childling, it was terribly hard for her to understand. For a while, Tavra became quiet, and vented her feelings into her newly discovered passion of swordfighting.
Only when Brea started growing older did she get a semblance of normalcy back into her life, with her sisters around her, and the love they felt together, even with the occasional fighting.
