20 minutes into Voltron and chill and he gives you this look

Just a warning, there are mentions of vomit
Two and a half jobs (Shiro counts his third job as only half of one, because it’s only a couple of hours a week, helping out Hunk’s elderly grandmother) and a full load of classes has the tendency to steal sleep and add stress, and those concepts aren't foreign to him. Now that he’s been at it for a couple of months, he’s used to it.
What he isn’t used to, however, is this nagging headache he’s had for the last half hour.
He figures it’s the fumes from the cleaning supplies, because he’s been cleaning Martha’s house for nearly an hour how, and the room he’s in is small with little ventilation.
“Shiro?” Martha says, opening the door.
He sets down his cleaning supplies down and brings his eyes to her.
Fuck, his head hurts.
“I think I'm going to call it a day for you.”
“What? Why?” Shiro frowns.
“You're exhausted, dear,” she says, stepping inside. She pats his upper arm, and smiles up at him, “I very much appreciate the help, but you need to take care of yourself. Go home and get some sleep, you don’t look well.”
I’m rewatching the third season of Voltron and I noticed Shirp said something after he got his makeover. He mentioned that he had a “weird headache.” He’s interrupted by Pidge and the team gets distracted with finding Lotor. Shirp’s weird headache isn’t brought up again in the remaining time of the season. After all, it’s just a headache, right? A headache could just mean a lack of food, water, sleep, something being implanted in the brain . . . . Nothing big, even though using the adjective “weird” would imply he didn’t think the headache was brought on by normal reasons. With this theory, I don’t think Shirp knows that he’s really not Shiro, and he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do for the Galra. Honestly I think this headache will have a much bigger part later on.
Another thing I wonder about is Shirp having Shiro’s memories. He has them, yes, but can the emotions also be replicated? He remembers the other paladins, he remembers Allura, and he remembers Coran. But remembering who they are and feeling the emotional connection are two different things. Shirp might know from memories how to interact with them individually, but he might not feel the same bond.
I have to give credit to the Galra, though. Replacing the well reputed and liked leader with a fake? It’s brilliant. Even in the sixth episode you can see what it’s done. Keith is struggling with figuring out how to be a leader. His first attempt at it left the paladins scrambling around blind on a gas planet trying to find Lotor. Sure, he apologized for it, but it’s still going to be in the back of the minds of the paladins. So when “Shiro” comes back and starts giving out confident commands, almost immediately the rest of the paladins sided with “Shiro,” After all, he was the leader before Keith, and has in the past proved himself to be a better leader than Keith. And even Keith would either back down or doubt his own leadership. Keith’s ideas may have been better (in fact, we see that Lotor is angered by Keith’s decision to dodge, thus resulting in the teledove’s destruction), but because it’s “Shiro,” his commands are more trustworthy. Fake Shiro doesn’t need to know he’s fake. He’s just got to be fed potentially destructive ideas that he’ll present to the paladins and they’ll follow him.
So this started as a mention of Shirp’s weird headache, but it ended in a ramble of who knows what. Maybe I should just add this to the long post in my drafts about why I don’t think Shirp is Shiro. XD
This isn’t Space Dad, this is Anime Dad.
