Bricc Baby Feat. Gun "Safe"
Homieland vol.2 - Bricc Baby
Homieland vol.2 will be released in a month, but we still have homies we’d like to introduce you to. It’s now time to meet Atlanta-based rapper Bricc Baby (fka Shitro), you may have already come across on Brava and who’s done a couple of tracks with Brodinski and Sam Tiba.
Bricc Baby had many lives and numerous monikers (formerly MPA Shitro, Shitty Montana and Bricc Baby Shitro) — from L.A. where he grew up, to Atlanta where he spent quite some time and acquainted with the likes of Peewee Longway with whom he formed MPA (money power ammunitions, a crew and label, but also Young Thug, Young Scooter and Gucci Mane MPA often visited in the studio. Despite his crew was extending, and welcomed MPA Wicced and MPA Duke, Bricc went back to his hometown. Rap was his thing, but from the side of the scene, without thinking seriously about a career as a rapper. After touring with Kid Ink, writing for other people and hanging out in the studio all the time, Bricc finally decided to fully embrace the rap game. From LA, he dropped his first mixtape Son of a Bricc Lady featuring part of his gang of Atlantians, under his former moniker MPA Shitro. But it was now time for him to stand on his own two feet, as he changed his name for Bricc Baby (that’s called growing up, as Shitro was his nickname as a child). The rest of the crew followed the same path, with former members becoming Wicced and Lil Duke.
One of Bricc’s mixtape cover posted via Twitter awoke Louis’ curiosity. Dannie, a mutual friend and manager of Bricc Baby, introduced him to the rapper and well, everything happened (better watch it in here). Then came Nasty Dealer, with tracks produced by Brodinski (“Piano Cracc”) and Sam Tiba (“6 Drugs”, “Work”) and an appearance on Brodi’s debut album Brava, so he’s quite fit in the Bromance crew. On Figure Me Out, his track on Homieland vol.2, he’s joined by LA jack of all trades King Kanobby. Kanobby describes himself as both a singer, a songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist engineer, a mixer, a composer, a producer and an arranger. And honestly, you can trust him entirely.
Pre-order the comp here, we’re disclosing Bricc Baby’s Figure Me Out right now !
