Missiles
Today I visited the UN building in New York City. Our tour began in the afternoon and we were pushed through the security council room, in which we snapped a ton of photos and were moved along, being told that the council was starting after we left. One of the kids on my MUN team actually saw a few delegates walking in. As we took the long drive home, we got the news that the US had launched a missile on Syria and that the UN had allowed it in the very meeting that we were in the building for. BASUCALLY WE ALL WENT FUCKING NUTS. And with the prospect of WWIII on our hands we all flipped shit. And then I just realized that the US entered World War I on April 6th... which is today. BASICALLY IM SHOOK
For those of you who don't understand why I'm flipping out about the weather, it's the middle of February vacation which is literally a week off mostly because it's usually the snowiest of the year and right now it's 70 in central mass, which is pretty much what the weather is like in July. While it's really nice I'm also partially flipping out because of this thing called global warming. This weather is unheard of and while people are taking it as a blessing you also have to think about the fact that it will get cold again, in fact we might end up with snow next week. It's concerning that the weather is like this. Animals start to think they can come out early, plants bud early, and so on. All I'm saying is take this weather in New England with a grain of salt.
It's 70 degrees and I went and stood outside for five minutes in complete silence bc I liked it so much
