Nothing about the way she moved suggested anything was different from how it had been just a few weeks earlier. Nothing seemed different to any of her coworkers, but of course they all knew something had changed. They all knew over the weekend her entire life had fallen apart, but it wasn’t something any of them wanted to ask about. She continued on with her work, papers, talking, emailing the same way she had just before the incident. The whole city knew about the incident. The killing. First it had been dead rats, which tipped off the pest control, which found a dead dog, which had the police on watch, and then it was the man. The man had ruined it for everyone. The man in her backyard.

She spent three days in jail while investigators tried to figure out the mystery. A pinpoint accurate gunshot from a petite woman. They were so unsure of her being in the cell that they let her keep her dog with her for company and comfort.

Soulmate AU where your ability to do a hobby is how close your soulmate is. One day the child of your parent's old friend comes to stay. They live on the exact other side of the planet. When they arrive they ask you what your hobby is once the parents have left you in the kitchen to befriend one another. You say you don't have one. You've never been good at anything. The person freezes and says they didn’t have one either. You both try juggling the apples on the counter and you're both perfect at it. That's how you meet your soulmate.

Story Idea

A dystopia where ___ happens and the dictator has been ruling for several decades after his/her parent, who was the previous dictator, died. Someone doesn’t do ___ and ends up on the loose, however the dictator has no idea how to react because his/her dystopia has been running so efficiently for so long that there was no need to have people to keep the citizens in line. Cue story about a dictator trying to figure out what to do when his/her dystopia falls apart.
