So I have “surgery” on Tuesday, a procedure called Shock Wave Lithotripsy, where they put me under anesthesia and send a high frequency sound wave through my body to break up the kidney stone.

It’s called a surgery but it’s not invasive, so to me it’s only like a half surgery.

Though, if it turns out I have an infection I can’t have that procedure performed and instead need to have a stint put in. Then they’ll use a scope with a laser to break up the kidney stone and remove it that way.

It’s a lot more invasive, so I don’t need really want it and that’s why I’d rather have SWL.

Let’s hope my body doesn’t hate me too much this week…
