Remembering October 1st

I know everyone is so excited for October, and autumn, and everything else, which is fine.

However, I want to take a moment to also highlight the Vegas Shooting, October 1st, 2017. I want to remember the victims, the mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, friends who were lost. I want to support the survivors, the ones who will never forget, the ones who have a forever trauma. I want to not only remember this day, but demand action. I want to see federal response. I want to see change in this country.

And I really, really want people to vote.

Victim of Las Vegas shooting wakes up from coma after bullet struck her forehead

Tina Frost, 27, woke from a coma on Friday to take her first steps since sustaining a bullet to the forehead from being shot by Stephen Paddock on the Oct. 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas.

This is fantastic news.  But I worry about this  lady’s long term recovery.  i too sustained a prefrontal cortex injury (forehead) 33 years ago.  The unfortunate result for me has created a situation in which my employability has significantly diminished and i struggle every day with simply organizing my day.  I wish her the Best of luck!
