When your nails match the pool 😊 I'm still waiting to jump in the sea, but while Lizzie is happily napping, I'll have to make do with the pool. Does anyone else notice how quickly the days go when you're trying to fit in baby naps, three baby meals a day, nappy changes, etc? While we're fairly relaxed I this holiday, I also feel like we can't get anything done... Like swimming in the sea 🤣 which is a five minute walk from our house. It's past noon now and all we've managed to do is wake up, get dressed, feed Lizzie (boob, breakfast, boob), play a bit, attempt to do her claws and she's now snoozing. Next task is to actually leave the house, go to the shops, feed the adults and swim. I hope we get to swim! Wouldn't it be lovely to always have at least a three day weekend? An extra day to spend with people you love doing things you love rather than doing things you have to 😊 As nice as this extra long weekend is and add much as I'm enjoying it, I had a bit of a wobble. After Lizzie was born I dropped pregnancy weight really quickly (I wasn't trying, but her early arrival left us in a daze and we were completely out of it, so I guess not eating proudly or enough had something to do with it), but that's not really the point. Yes, the lbs/kgs were gone, but the main body remained. And while I'm proud of what this body has done, it's been a bit of a rocky road to try and accept it. And the last few months of parenthood have added a couple of kgs to top it all. So, I had a tiny meltdown while trying on my regular clothes and announcing that I can never again wear shorts because I look like there's a chubby baby face where my knees used to be and my thighs are not as lean as they were. SPRING SUITS :: This is a strong trend in 2018 and gaining power when combined with sneakers! It’s everywhere on the streets of Europe and America at the new season fashion shows.I think our the practicalities of our urban life coupled with more commuting may be a factor in this strong trend. However we are also witnessing equally a deconstruction of what we once thought of as fashion no go zones! High end fashion mixed with high street clothing mixed with recycled or fast fashion pieces. Either way it’s a minefield our thete- with influences from both the 70’s and 80’s when I was shopping last weekend!! In many ways it’s an empowering time to dress but having the confidence to work with what’s in your wardrobe, add carefully with new pieces and mix things up is where the fun begins!! My last few clients have had loads of fun recreating outfits with hidden gems in their wardrobe.
