I see most of the community is upset that the new dual unit is IroMado. I see a lot of you complaining about Iroha getting more alts and that this was a let down of an anniversary unit. Some of you were hoping that we would go Ali/Karin or Devil Homura instead.

All I can say is that what did you expect? This is the same company who pulled NA due to sales being low. The same company who capitalized on creating an English speaking magical girl for their NA audience to only make her speak Japanese despite being from America. The same company who creates girls like Kuro or Kuroe and do absolutely nothing with them.

I'm not saying to blame the creators since you still play the game regardless who gets added in. If you feel as if this anniversary feels disappointing due to your bingo chart of "who gets a new unit" not being fulfilled, then maybe it's time to take a break. You have the option of bailing out now or taking a hiatus. More of some of the best girls are coming back like IroYachi, Ashley, and Uwasnaa, so pull them if you want!

There will be other anniversaries and other units to choose from. Although we have to understand that we might not get what we want. So don't feel bad if Ali/Karin, MasaKoko, or Devil Homura never get made.

Let's be happy that we get new girls added, new stories being told, new duo/trio units, and many other ways to blow our money.

Beautiful starts with YOU

So many are dreading the mirror in the bathroom. Despise how it looks at them. Despises the truth that it shows us. The truth of our scars. Those pimples on our cheeks. Or the hair above our lips. Ugly. Our mind screams that word until we have become numb to it. Ugly. What a disgusting word. A word that depicts us of not only our beauty but our worth. A word that if thrust upon you, will haunt you till the end of your days. Unless... Unless you realize that our mind is wrong. Your mind is a functioning brain that is meant to find perfection beautiful. But humans are not perfect. Our body isn't perfect. Our lives aren't perfect. Nothing is perfect about us. So we are all, ugly. But don't cry at that. Don't scream, no. Because if our mind thinks we are ugly than that's amazing. Because a perfect human is boring. A perfect human has no mistakes. No excitement. Nothing different. Just a grey blur in a crowd of grey. But you, you are a burst of color that breaks through every border because lines will not hold you back. You are beautiful. Your mind just hasn't learnt that yet.

Short Speech

In my WRD 110 class we had to present a short speech about what we believed in. It was our first assignment to where we had to speak in front of the class. I found that a personal topic was great to break the ice because us students could be confident about what we chose and we got to choose anything to talk about.

I chose, “I believe in comfort food.” I didn’t print out my speech because it was just an outline so I presented with note cards. To prepare myself, I read my outline, presented in front of friends, and made the note cards. I don’t think I looked at them once though. My main focus was to keep eye contact with the audience and remember the sequence of my speech. I remember after I sat down I thought of two more things to say but I think I reached the time limit set for us. 

I don’t know how to grade myself but I feel like I did well but one aspect I was lacking in was being serious in my speech, but I was talking to my peers so I just tried to sound casual. I feel like I will receive a good grade for this assignment because the rest of the factors were well met.
