This whole year has been garbage.
I was greeted by the happiest old lady I've ever met at McDonald's, despite their service taking longer than usual because they were short staffed. She reminded me that service goes beyond efficiency. More importantly, it's about sincerity and being genuinely happy about our work. We all need a tad more cheerfulness in our busy lives :)
