I think it’s very important to acknowledge where you came from. I love Spanish food. I love the family get-togethers — dancing, singing, spending quality time.

Yes, I’ve never been ashamed of my roots. I've always embraced it.

The media sexualizes Latinas. We see Latina celebrities on TV and people always comment on their physical appearance. They are known for their curves. I feel like this takes away from them getting recognition for their actual talents and what they have to offer. Producers, casting directors should stop typecasting Latinas. Break them out of those stereotypical roles.
