I’ve got many thoughts on Kafka and Erin interactions specifically 👁️👁️ It is most interesting to me because Erin would absolutely hate him….

Kafka is well… a whiny kid, because his shell and vulnerable parts have just been flipped. Shou was supposed to be the safe shell, agreeing to everything and always seeking to learn, while Kafka is “I dunno.. that’s scary …” and Erin would probably hate that attitude. It’s too vulnerable and honest.

But unfortunately 😔 he’s kind of a genius. I want to write it this way, he’s been through millenniums of studying as Shou, so when he’s finally human as Kafka, even without any memory, he will blindly find his way to the right answer. It really looks like cheating. It’s like Faust with Gesellschaft. Straight up haxx if you didn’t know about his history as Shou first.

So I imagine it would really piss off Erin who works so hard everyday… I encourage violence between them O.O for scientific purposes of course…

This is the bad end where he locks himself up in the Library for millions of years to understand what Angela went through. All while trying to wipe out the Shou birds that kept trying to reach his level of ascension.

Squeeeeeeeeze. He's still a baby no matter what. Also fyi my subs have taken some creative liberty. The meaning is still based on the original, but I added some lore stuff to fit my narratives.

Baby Shou and baby Desdemona

Cassio (in mr. Earnshaw's place) is a marine biologist who bought her daughter a plushie of an orca. Desdemona became very attached to it. She loves it because even in T Corp, you can see its "colours". She also loved Shou for that exact reason. His eyes stay golden no matter where he is.

Story section:

The boy named Crow from Kafka on the Shore. He is a humanoid cuckoospawn sample from the Outskirts that was in the possession of the Library. Limbus Company has deemed his existence an anomaly worthy of research.

"It was known that inhabitants of the Outskirts are capable of intelligence, but it's rare to procure one that shows no hostility towards mankind. Following the release of the Light throughout the City, and the subsequent exile of the Library that sought to collect those seeds, this immature spawn was found attempting to infiltrate their base. Naturally, it paled in comparison to their offensive capabilities, and was soon defeated. A verdict to exterminate it has yet to be passed, so they were allowed to keep and raise it.

At first, it could hardly speak, but with consistent efforts made to educate it, eventually it was capable of expressing its own sentience. No, even beyond that. We could hardly read what it's thinking now. Perhaps this is leap into the insurmountable unknowns that lie beside our human comprehesion. An ambassador of humanity's natural predator. We've come to name him Shou (正: righteousness, correctness)." — Report from the Library.

Management's note:

Sorry I procrastinated so long on this series. I don't know why, even though it hardly takes that much time to finish. But restarting it from its hiatus again makes me feel kind of relieved, like it brought back some sense of normalcy.

Okay, about Shou. He resonates with Pink Shoes, Spiral of Contempt, Hurting Teddy Bear, Big Bird and Skin Prophet. I guess his main theme is searching for wisdom (yes referencing that thing) and codependency (totally projecting onto him). Well, he is a baby so he needs to depend on parental figures to grow. I think his story would also commentate on what it means to be a parent to someone, as does many of my other Sinners do that. What can I say, I am bleeding my traumas onto the pages.
