Asymmetry?? Rindou AND Ran?? Perfect

This fic hurts in a very specific kind of way, something about your soulmate not wanting you (or at least not showing it) is so painful

Rindou and Ran and possibly one of the worst pairings in TR (other than the Sano's and Izana and Kakucho), they're just so mean about it

My fragile heart really can't take it

And something about the manipulative give and take between the brothers and the reader is borderline exhausting, but at least the brothers are having fun I guess????

I don't know, but I do feel bad for Ran's soulmate

Also the whole sense of restriction?? The inescapablity of the whole situation?? Nightmare stuff, honestly

Like no matter how hard you try, you can never leave, even though they don't seem to care all that much

I think them keeping the reader around is more painful than being ignored

Y’all know that I am weak for soulmate fics I had another idea for one just yesterday 👀 but this was a different one. This one was an angst feat and honestly it was a delight to write! Ran and Rin are hot as hell and the cruelty is just off the charts. Like you said it’d be one thing to not be wanted (or appear that way at least) but for Ran to keep her around is just torture for the poor reader.

And then on top of that, having the two of them drive away her friends – any acquaintances that cross whatever imaginary line they’ve drawn in the sand, purposefully keeping her isolated.

On the positive side, by the time the reader goes through with the mark removal, Rin’s finally ready to admit he doesn’t want her leaving because she belongs to him. To the both of them, really.

Unfortunately for her, she’s going to find out that that’s much, much worse.
